Thanks Cindy. Was Tigger altered? Funny when you say about him being in VA, because there is a Patch breeder in VA that would like to breed Lacie to his male.
I am going to spend the rest of this year doing show homework. Try to save a little funds. I know with all of my dogs, they have come to me when the time is right. 2 of them were actually sold to other buyers that for some reason or another had to back out. Anybody can tell you my dogs live better here then the 2 leggeds do!! People who have never been here are sometimes overwhelmed getting greeted at the door by 260 lbs worth of K9 or 290 on weekends.

We might have a lemon and white available out of one of are upcoming litters (Chelsy and Lady). Usually there is one that pops up in these lines. These crosses are not full show lines but have a good mix. Check out the Hawk pup out of our last litter for reference.

Leah and Cindy would be a good place to go if you are really interested in getting some good show blood.
Like Dr. Ed and mooredog said Sundown beagles would be another excellent choice.

Hey Bill. I saw something on your website that sounds like our dogs.
Our dogs run with a knife and fork in their front paws because if they catch the bunny; they have every right to eat him.
Most the time we run in Christmas tree fields to give the rabbits a sporting chance.

You have some nice looking dogs, needless to say, the pup Hawk caught my eye. LOL. I like the fact that your dogs are dual purpose.

I really appreciate every bodies feedback here.

I haven't been there at Institute Farm for about 3 years now, but back then we hard a hard time finding a rabbit and I heard they moved the National Pack trials to another site. Hope that is not still a problem. While there in addition to Leesburg (man that place is pricey) you might want to visit Middleburg in the other direction which is prime fox hunting country. The folks at the trials are just beaglers like us, except they could sneeze while counting their money and blow away more than most of us make in a lifetime. They don't act like that though and anyone who is a beagle fancier will be more than welcome.

You are so right Larry.. I loved Middleburg when we were there 5 years ago. I am not sure about the rabbit population at the farm but, I have the best memories from that place. It was magical to me. Also the first place I really got to go out with dogs who were running a rabbit! I hope anyone that can come will. I'd love to meet you!

When you say about running rabbits there, is it a sanctioned event for rabbits? If so, my BEST rabbit hound will measure out. He is a full 16". I would probably bring a dog though. Lacie is pretty much my constant companion. She even goes to work with me, every day since she was 8 weeks old. My clients love her.

When is this event and how expensive is it to find places to stay? I love a good roadtrip!!

I am honestly NOT sure if there is a sanctioned event or not. I know we did go run hounds and during parts of the show you could hear them which was very cool!!! I think I'll direct this Question to Mandy Bobbit and I'll let you know what I find out ;-) This is in early Oct. I need to look for the exact dates.
