Buzzsaw invented sliced bread and the flush toilet. I have his daughter and heard her open just a little on a wild rabbit for the first time this evening. Someday you will say "Who is Cloud?" I will say, Cloud brings thunder and lightning. All silliness aside, I am amazed at the physique that Buzz throws. The dam of this pup I have isn't as deep in the chest nor nearly as leggy. SOmeday you will look at a hound with a huge deep chest and long straight legs and ask, is that a Buzz hound? Then it will jump a rabbit and start giving a deep machine gun chop and yo will say, Yep. must be a Buzz hound. Buzz invented machine guns, too. Lynn and Kalashnikov are hunting buddies. That's why they kill so many rabbits, ratatatatatatatat!

no denver, but i had a bad feeling the post i put would, and if they would take the time to read it they would see i was not bad mouthing the dog or anyone, dang boyz, why so jumpy,i was complimenting the dog on what i hear about him,but it seams that all the posts come from the "click",and by that i am refering to the boys in the "great state of ky".

see when i first joind the forrum i was told what i needed to do to get in the "click",and i was told that the click is the ky boys i woulkd see at the lil world drinkin silver bullets, who are the same guys that are talkin about buzz.

the dog sounds like a dang nice hound,i talked to a guy by the name of dallas in eubanks one day for an hour about buzz, the guy seamed to know what a real rabbit dog was,he said that people"say"he is slow, but he said he had decent foot, and ran a good line, fact is a lot of these dogs that are labled fast actualy neck to neck aint no faster than buzz, they just swing to get outsideand up front.

i was just wondering how old he was and why no one has tried running him in akc,i have learnt this much,a dog that runs a good line like buzz and can be as successful as he is in arha lp,tend to do very well in akc, cause they tend to have good punch and brains,so what if they aint out front when they cross the field,i have never seen a dog score a point in arha yet for being the fastest,i think foot speed is not as important as brains, and a good nose, two things that i was told buzz posseses.

so chill out man,i wasn't tryin to ruffle feathers.

as for dramey's question "WHO IS DANNY VANSICKLE?"

I AM THE GUY THAT EVERYONE LOVES TO HATE,AND I THINK IT IS FU#$ING HILLARIOUS THAT I CAN COMPLEMENT A DOG AND THROW ONE LIL WORD LIKE "CLICK" IN THERE JUST TO TEASE YOU'ALL A LIL"AND IT IS LIKE LIGHTING A FUSE,I LIKE SITTIN BACK AND GUESSIN WHO WILL BE THE ONE TO JUMP............................................... :bomb:

I'm not fired up. I was just stating my point about what "other" people have said about Buzz. I didn't say anything bad about you Danny. I did get a chuckle out of the click comment. If its a click I guess I am in it. I count Lynn Perkins as one of my best friends. Just remember Vansickle, you've always got Tom and Ronnie to fall back on  When you see them, tell Tom to kick Ronnie in the a$$ for me.

Denver,
Only thing wrong with me is I need to drop about 50 lbs. I put you in the same class of running like Ol Jeff Brown. But you have to admit I did give you fair warning before they paired me up with you

i have seen denver run and he has been hittin the ol tapeworm juice (red bull),them boyz get on it and it makes them run faster,i drink it and i think i am runnin faster but then my body catches up with my brain and the end result is a severe migraine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll judge with you again anytime Chad, In that cast it just seemed like the rabbits didn't want to turn back much they were flat coverin' some ground.

Dang Danny, I asked Who is Chad Blair too, besides that puts you in some very good company, as I also asked who is Abraham Lincoln, Richard Petty, Albert Einsten, etc. Don't be so sensitive! If being in the click includes silver bullets, by the way, I guess I'm out, as I gave that up for Jesus Christ years ago. I love that we can express our sense of humor over about anything. I didn't take offense at anything on this thread, and never meant to offend anyone, just poke some fun. By the way, I have seen some of you guys and when I poke fun at you, I do it with an 11 foot pole! Now you be a good boy, Danny Van, and mind your manners! Next time you see Chad Blair, ask him to pull his shirt up and show you all the little round bruises. When you ask him what they are, he will tell you they are ll-foot pole marks. Why, you will ask? He will tell you that he's so ugly that people wouldn't touch him with a 10-foot pole. This brings up another point, Buzzsaw invented 10 and 11 foot poles. Seriously again (I have a hard time being serious)THere has been a lot said about Buzz and the word "slow" enters in. Buzz is roughly the age of a 60-year old man competing against 20 year olds and teenagers. Still, he is far from slow even at his advanced age, and when he was 2-3 years old I never ever saw a pack leave him. He is the rare hound that has or had the foot, nose, brains and gears to compete in several different formats. The fact that he isn't/wasn't as fast as stereotypical LP hounds is a plus all around, as the stereotypical LP hound creates too many of his own checks (IN MY OPINION). I would characterize Buzz's speed in his day as "average" LP. Bear in mind, I never saw him run in Indiana or Ohio, where there is actual flat land and open spaces. Rabbits and hounds run here in sericea and blackberries, rarely anything else. Not a place to judge speed by any means, and not a place where speed is an asset except the odd occasion of a rabbit busting out int the timber..

Ramey,
The words Ramey and Serious do not belong together. About the 11' pole remarks, well I am ugly for sure. But I do have a good looking wife that likes to think she keeps me in line. She went to her first trial at the Ky State and is hooked now. It's gonna be a sad day when I can't hear ol Buzz runnin anymore.

Ran a grandson to Buzz this morning solo, you could tell he's a Buzz decendent, that slobberin' chop was hammerin through the flat country this morning, until a monsoon settled in here. Hope to run him in trials this fall.

dont know if im part of the "click" or not. lol

Several years ago made a special trip up to them mtns to hunt with buzz. i had only seen him go a couple of times at trials. to me it is hard to really see what a hound is in an hour at a time snapshots. i like to really see what a hound is and can only do that by spending a day with them in the field. he made me a believer that day. he out jumped everything on the ground and we had some A1 jump dogs down with him. Ive said it before and Ill say it again. Buzz is one of the best hounds of our time. ive liked what ive seen him produce and Ive really liked his grandpups.

as far as foot speed goes he is splenty fast. track fast. he can make the turns and he may not be stretching a pack but let those drag racers over run it and he will nail them. id say if ole buzz was ran down in this country no one would have ever questioned his foot speed. just up in those hills if you get out of pocket the race is over.

Danny Buzz will be 8 in July.I understood your question and took NO offense to it.First didnt have time for AKC,only for years run local hunts in little pack.Raising a family on 1 income and loving running hounds more then trialing i didn't go to many lp hunts off from here neither till Buzz was 3 coming 4,so long trips for AKC trials was out also.

Buzz is probably upper med(6) at best now on foot speed, would run a consistent med-fast(8) as a younger hound but always done more with the track then the front hound. We all get old and slow down,Buzz is no exception but he has the heart and determenation to run rabbit as long as you'll let him.Just got in from 4 hard hours of running with Buzz and 5 young hounds and started hounds from him along with 2 of my good friends(not in the click)LOL and it ws nice to see a father and his offspring run together.
Speaking of the click i must be out,i had to quit the bullets and ole Denver is in the click to as much as any ky boy, unless your reffering as the click being something other then good friends because that has what trialing has done for me,i have made many good friends that iwouldn't had the chance to staying in pike county all the time.
If Buzz was younger and i had the time i would trial him in AKC,because now i could afford it a little better these days then back 5 or 6 yrs ago.

thanks lynn for answeringh my questions,i guess it's true,if ya want to find out something best to go to the horses mouth or somethin like that.

must admit,at 8 yrs old and still gettin it done in the big hunts even, makes ya wonder what if?

what if he had been trialed akc and maybe even canada for ifc,he sounds like the type of dog that can get it done, plus the thing i have noticed about him is he never had any rumors of wrong doin going on in his wins, all i have evr heard about him is how he takes the peedd demons to school, brains impress me more than foot speed.

too bad earle meades chrystal dog can't have pups, that would be the perfect cross to get downright rabbit smart pups, chrystal runs about a 6 or 7 on foot like buzz but is probably the smartest hound i have ever seen run,so many times i would be in casts with stretch, robin, albert and chrystal, the three speedy dogs would bump heads tryin to out do each other na dover run the track, and they would break down, check would open and here would come chrystal, right on through the check area and never miss a breath, turn and go,and scorin the check.

i have never seen buzz go but sounds like a hell of a hound, the kind i am leanin more towards running now, smart, line control,RABBIT DOGS.

don't get me wrong,i still like the big bangers but i have figured out what suits me and that is a smart hound,i would like to get my hands on a well bred buzz female to breed his brains into my kennel.

are there any buzz/iron eagles females out there any where?

wish ol jimbo would breed the abbie dog to buzz, that would be interesting

Danny, earl's female is a super nice hound, she's got me twice when it hurt LOL i like her alot and even picked her to win the run off before it started. They looked good in the finals of the run off together and complimented each other well on the rabbits they ran together.

Jimmie has mentioned the cross in which you speak of and it would be very nice.Eagle crossed well on Buzz females so should be nice the other way also.

i have him bred to a eagle female of mine Eagle X Heather (northway jumpmaster female) 14 1/2 " bluetick female, she is due in a month or so.Let me know if i can hook you up.Thank you for complimenting Buzz for being a good ole rabbit dog.As Jimbo would say getting it done old school! ;)

Danny, some clicks you want t avoid. Glad to hear that you quit the silver bullets, you won't be sorry. Word of advice. When you see the Ky boys go right, go left. When they go forward, go back. WHen they say black, you say white. See, in the mountains we are known as a backward people. Keep going forward. BTW, You brought up something interesting. I have a male that is a grandpup of Eagle on the bottom and is a grandpup of Rockstar (Buzz's sire) on top. He is a full 15" bluetick that is 2 and is starting to really do it right. I also have a Buzz female that is also a full 15" that is just started. Sounds interesting what might happen to that down the road about a year or year and a half. Hmmmm.
