Hey BJK,BJK wrote:I have a question. Out of the 50 plus dogs listed are only 4 or 5 AKC Champions and 1 CKC Champion? How many are ARHA Grand Champions?
I have only owned 2 straight out of Turbo and concidered Sport and Chance as 2 of the best I ever owned and Kennel/ Line blindness aside I am sure as Midwest style of SPO grows to new areas there will be more dogs like what Turbo threw as FC's.
I have a solid 3 y/o female that has no where near the power of the two dod mentioned above and she is way to strong for spo in the Wv area.
Just my opinion on why there are so many Arha champs would be beacuse thats where there owners ran them.

AKC champs ?
I'd say the reason you see so many NKC /ARHA Field Champs. as opposed to the AKC FC's is where most of Turbo's offspring have ended up geographically.
Face it, the only AKC trial formats / judging where a hound that runs like those out of Turbo run and will be successfull are Large Pack on Hare / Swampers and the Mid-West SPO.
The other associations like UBGF,PBGA, Deep South and NEBGA are not going to let that type of hound run.
So if you've got one of these top hounds and are not able to go Large Packing or the Mid West you pretty much go ARHA Little Pack. JMHO
