i am so sick of the same thing every day on here from the same group, people can't have a civil discussion without the same guys comin in here and blowin it up,you all are so pathetic, and you all say i whine
who was it came in here and bitched and whined because a couple guys wanted to have the redneck nats with out him till it was canceled?
ok boys, keep on bashin,i am outta here, time for a long hiatis again, you all kill me,carlisle ky has a hunt this saturday, why not show up and run your dogs instead of your mouths?
The RNN's were canceled for other reasons than you stated. Just for the record. I wouldn't call it bashing, callin' a spade, a spade (no pun intended). I never heard anyone complain about Reggie or Dozer. Tom, Ronnie, and Kevin need to get a handle on you...lol youre Vansickle Gone Wild.

baron is barely 15,what are you talkin about?ask him he will tell ya

no,i know when too big is too big,i have a dog out of my iron eagle male bandit,he is the one i refered t in the earlier post, hell of a hound but right there at the line,it is dogs like that that i think need to be oficial measured, cause if someone wanted to prop him right,he is over, wouldn't take much.but standin natural,he is right at 15,full 15

baron won't measure out,i am sure of that.

15
I UNDERSTAND WHATYOUR SAYING DANNY I HAVE 1 RIGHT THERE AT 15 TO IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE HIM PRE MEASURED SO I COULD PUT THE TIME INTO HIM AND NOT WORRY ABOUT BEING MEASURED OUT AN EVENT IN UKC YOU CAN GET THEM PERMANENT MEASURED AT THE BIG HUNTS BUT IF THEY MEASURE OUT THEY CANNOT BE RAN AGAIN .THEY CALL ME FASTEDDY!!
From what I have seen just about every speed format has dogs running in it that are over 15," and the rules are not effectively enforced. Big Pack decided it was getting out of control and they had to either start measuring almost all of the hounds or change the rules. They moved the height to 16". This year after experimenting with the use of shock collars they now allow them also.
I think rules are there and a standard has to be set, but it has to be adhered to to mean anything. You may agree or not agree with a rule, but the only thing you can do if you disagree is to go for a rule change. I think rules need to be followed and changed to benefit the experience of those entering their hounds in trials.

just a thought. i dont think that a dogs speed is determined by its height. it all comes down to how long the dog is and that determines its stride. i admit that most taller dogs are faster, which comes with a longer body for a longer stride. i think that after a dog is a certain age where it isnt gonna grow anymore and then measure the dog. if it measures in, u should receive a card or something so u dont have to worry about later measurements. the breed inspectors rule book says that a dog should be in its natural stance with its head forward. check the rule book for details. this means that the breed inspector should not have to touch the dog under the chest while he/she is measuring it. i also think its funny that this one guy on here says in his signature section, "its not the size of the dog in the fight.....its the size of the fight in the dog...." yet they want to argue with danny with a dog being too big..

I don't trial but isn't it true that most breed standards call for a beagle that does not exceed 15". With that being the standard of any given registry then I'm of the opinion that ANY dog that measures over that 15" should not be allowed to even be registered as it has already exceeded their BREED STANDARD. If putting the titles on them is to show the best of that registries breed then to not meet their breed standard should be grounds for being disqualified period. The Real Slim Shady explained how a dog should be measured and it is explained in most rule books and that is also a standard that must be followed as well. Seems like some folks always want to twist rules and standards to meet their personal situations in lieu of just following what is written in black and white. It was the same way when I competition hunted and showed coon hounds, someone always wanting to shuck and jive around with the rules. Folks they are there just follow them to a "T" and there will be less crap to tolerate as everyone will be following the same things. This is exactly why I quit as there was and is always shucking and jiving.

I thought the "Breed Standard" was 16 inches ? Guess that shows what I knowwarddog wrote:I don't trial but isn't it true that most breed standards call for a beagle that does not exceed 15".
