Journey's End Time To Preach X Double A's Jumping Jill?

Post by blackrunbeagler »

Just wondering if anyone else has one or knows of how any of this litter are coming along? I have one little female, about 7-8 months old and she shows alot of good things. She is a smaller framed hound than I prefer and not sure if she'll be fast enough for my pack, although she seems pretty quick for her age. Contemplating selling her. A friend of mine has some big meadows pups and in order to buy one I'd have to part with her(lack of space/money). Just curious if anyone knows what I can expect performance wise from this female and how other siblings are doing. Thanks for any input.

The hound in my avatar is out of Preach x Bear Mt To Me Princess. He's going on 3 now and a nice hound. Med fast with gears to slow down when need be. I especially like to watch him work a check. Likes the thick stuff too and can move good through it. He's a big boy and wouldn't measure in at trial but that doesn't matter to me as I don't do trials. What does your Jill hound look like and what does her ped look like? CHH

Let me know if you have any problems pulling it up or any other questions. She's black/tan and bluetick. A little short on ears and about 14 inches right now. She has a fine boned frame.

I ran with Jill's littermate brother. He was mouthy and lacked foot. He could really run a rabbit, but you better be lookin at him to know for sure what he was doing. I saw Jill when she was younger, but she wasnt started yet.

Mr Crabtree
Thanks for the input. I wanted something different up here in Pa, but I just don't know if she has enough foot. She doesn't seem to have as big a nose as my others, just hope I,m not quitting on her too soon. She is by no means a mouthy dog, in fact if she is barking the rabbit is up. She doesn't tounge unless she is sure she has it. She is pretty tight in the check and seems to run a good line, but this is all solo at 8 months old. I have not put her down with any other older dogs as I think its kind of early for that. I have a bad habit of forgetting that I'm looking at a puppy.

The Mate of hers was run hard with a pack at a young age. I would say his lack of foot and pack pressure caused him to be mouthy. He really seemed to have an above average nose, just a below average brain and foot.
