I just got the new collar I bought to replace my broken one and it looks like they did change the casings. On my original G2 the loops are all molded as 1 piece and on the new EXP one that I just got the loops look like they are molded from a different material. (color and texture are different) Hopefully they improved the durability because other than that the Thrashbreakers have been great.

I am all the sudden having problems with the controller. When I press a button the light on top flashes red for about 8 seconds but it doesn't tone or shock. Anyone else have this happen?

From what I have seen the G2 is way lower quality than the XLS.

The range on the G2 classic 70 sucks compared to the classic 70 XLS.

The charging docks for the G2 just come apart in your hand like toys.

I never would have thought it, but Tri Tronics is going backward in quality.

LOL, One of my chargers quit working about 3 weeks after I bought this one but I haven't really needed it. The bad thing is, I just loaned my 3 dog classic 70 xls to my sister in law. She is going to a dog training school and I figgured I didn't need it right now.

Since this post started, I have broke 2 more other than the one previously stated. Must be poor quality on the new g2's. Very disappointed! :angryfire:

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I guess you'al should’a bought a Dogtra!!! :blackeye: It would've saved you money according to Tri-Tronic's latest ad. They admit they cost more. Now comes the question of reliability and you guys just answered that question.

We own 3 sets of 1800 series Dogtra's with no problems for about 4 1/2 years, not even the batteries.
I'VE GOT SOME DOGS THAT ARE GONNA HURT SOME FEELINGS!!!!! I just hope it's not mine. Home of Wild Hare Kennels and FC Creek Woods Blue.
