WE RUN ON THE PEABODY WMA IN OHIO COUNTY AND THE RUNNING IS PRETTY GOOD, BUT I HEAR IT'S A LOT BETTER IN MUHL. COUNTY. IT JUST OPENED BACK UP LAST WEEK FOR RUNNING AND YOU HAVE TO GET A PEABODY PERMIT.

I live about 15 minutes from the Peabody land your talking about. When you can find a rabbit it is some of the best running anywhere. But with that being said, due to development and loss of habitat here in western KY many meat hunters have had to give up their small farms including me. Now everybody hunts and kills way too many rabbits on Peabody so now days their pretty scarce. Also a lot of the land has been sold off to people out of state and is now posted. Never thought of the day when I'd be looking for places to run dogs in Muhlenberg Co. but places are hard to find these days.
