Sunday Hunts

Post by tinymwoods »

Working in a job in retail, Saturdays are the busiest and therefore the hardest to take off. We were forced to have our hunts on Sundays so we could have enough club support. It just makes me wonder how many other clubs have Sunday hunts and how everyone feels about it. In Va. it is legale to hunt on Sunday as long as you don't use weapons. I would love to go to more hunts, but Saturday hunts are hard to make, and I am looking at making a few more Sunday hunts.

Sunday hunts would be ok, if they weren't on Sunday. Sunday is for church. These dogs are great, love them to death, but God give them to me, and God could take them away. He comes first.

I'm going to step out on a limb here. I feel that you can spend the day with GOD in the great outdoors. He also gave that to us. Where did they congragate before churches were built? God is great and God is everywhere. You don't have to be in church to celebrate his goodness. I'm with you Tinymwoods.

I Am With you.
Where Does it Say I HAVE TO BE IN CHURCH TO PRAY
I have heard Some better Sermons at Closing before we hit the Field than I have in Church.
I have been to a few trials were services were offered and held in the clubhouse early Sunday morning.

Steeples, stained glass, and pews do not make a church. Belief comes from within. I am not trying to start anything either.
I may show up to one of your trials in the future. I wanted to make the last one, but could not work it out.

Interesting post.

Sunday trials are as OK as any thing else, as long as we do not forsake the fellowship of the church. The word church does not always mean a building. God is in everything and everywhere. Church can be held anywhere and at anytime.

The book of Genisis tells that God rested on the Seventh day. On the calender Saturday is the Seventh day of the Week. Sunday is the First day of the week. Just something to think about.

The Bible also tells us that where two or more gather He will be there also. In essence, we can have church anywhere that we are not alone.

Maybe see some of you at church running beagles someday.

I respect everyone's opinion. I grew up thinking of God as being all knowing and loving. I do not think that going to a church and talking about needing money to repave the lot is going to get me closer to God or heaven then enjoying the world as he created it.

The purpose for posting this was to see how everyone felt and to find out if there was any other Sunday hunts. From what I can see, we all seem to worship God, even if in different ways and places. Nice to see we all have common ground and we all can respect all views.

I wish more trials were on Sunday also. I've been known to go to Church on Sat. p.m. occasionally. Saturdays are days that I spend w/ the family, hunting, fishing, or working, unfortunately not always in that order :)

TO ME THIS POST HAS PEOPLE WHO WANT TO ARGUE ABOUT CHURCH
AND GOD , HE MADE MAN AND THE DOGS, AND ALL CREATION.
WE DON'T NEED TO BE TALKING ABOUT CHURCH OR GOD IN A NEGATIVE WAY. EACH PERSON WILL DO WHAT THEY WANT TO ANYWAY
IT IS HOW EACH PERSON FEELS IN HIS HEART ABOUT DOING SOMETHING ON SUNDAY. I DO PASTOR A CHURCH AND ATTEND ON SUNDAY.

This post is not an arguement about God. As you have read, I am looking for other Sunday hunts. That is all. I am leaving for church shortly, so do not think I am "talking about church or God in a negative way.
