DRAMEY,those are my feelings exactly.The big dogs are out there.Why not create a class for them and let them run?I think it would open up a whole new market for houndsmen and ARHA.

Size in my opinion has little or nothing to do with god given ablity, the same people that continue to whine over this seem to be the the same group that never makes it to the winners pack. I for one will continue to push the page every breeding as intense line breeding at its best offers little too no midgets.I also believe that there should be some type of class for over 15".That way when ky and ohio dominate over 15 then we can talk about something else. It aint the size boys its the ability to pursue the game with the intent of catching it. That there is called talent and ability.

I'M WITH YOU BROTHER I'VE CALLED YOU SEVERAL TIMES .WHEN WE GOING HUNTING. HEY ANY ONE REMEMBER WHEN ARHA STARTED .VERY FEW PURE BEAGLES WERE REGISTERED FOR A LONG TIME. THE BASIC INTENT OF ARHA WAS NOT TO REGISTER AKC BEAGLES BUT OPEN UP A PLACE FOR THE RABBIT HUNTER WITH GRADE DOG'S I STARTED EVERY THING FROM HALF COLLIES TO HALF CURRS THAT WERE ARHA REGISTERED HERE IN MY PEN, AND A LOT OF THE BIG NAMES OF THE DAY OWNED THEM, THERE IS STILL A LOT OF MIXED DOGS RUNNING IN NKC TODAY THERE IS NO RULE ABOUT MIXED DOGS THEY JUST SUPPOSE TO LOOK LIKE A BEAGLE .

i'm with u hardtac .. i seen beagles look like u could putb a saddle on them lol.. i ragged the owner about can i ride him lol. but i didnt make him measure which i am positive he was 17 if he was an inch ..aint gonna help him beat me i dont figure unless maybe ur in open fields.or deep snow. i am for what the rules says if the rule says 15 then 15 it is unless they change the rules only cheaters will enter above 15 inch dogs!if u dont like that tell the next cop that pulls u over for doin 5 miles an hr more than ur supposed to i dont agree with the sign see what he says lol!

No one is saying that the oversized dogs should be allowed to run against the 15 inch and under dogs.It is simply being suggested that a class be started for the dogs that are over.

Amen Buddy!! well said. Size has nothing to do with the speed or ability it's all Genetics!!! A dog can only track as fast as it's nose allows it too no matter how tall it is. If we opened the over 15 under 16 who is to stop it there. Don't get me wrong I'm a firm believer in the fact that the standard clearly stated 12-16inches originaly who ever decided to change it thought they were revolutionists i s'pose. We will have the same arguement to open an over 16" class after the 15-16inch class was started tho. Get a standard to measure dogs not even all u.k.c measurers are on the same page yet.

i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the male i,am running is 15 inch, on the money, but i have never seen him be the biggest dog in a cast but i have seen him be the smallest; also i sold 2 dogs for being over; judges are running both as of now.
