 You could always make copies of the dogs' papers to send with others that way you don't have to worry about the originals getting lost.

I just finished printing signs to hang up at the clubhouse about presenting membership cards and registration papers when you sign up your dogs.
That is a really good idea , I didn't know if it could be a copy or if it had to be the original .
I did ask about this and it can be a copy.

Thanks that only seems logical to carry copies and leave the originals at home .

I haven’t done much ARHA LP but my partner and I expect to do more of it real soon. So correct me if I’m wrong since we’re new at this. Do all clubs have a copying machine at the hunt or are the registration application papers in carbon copy? I haven't seen any at the limited number of trials I've been to.

Here's a scenario for you. I register a dog at hunt "A” and run my dog. Since the registration application papers are not carbon copy and there is no copying machine nearby, I don't get a copy of the required "Signed by the breed inspector" registration application form. I then can't hunt my dog at hunt "B" till I get my registration papers from NKC, right? That sucks!!!
I'VE GOT SOME DOGS THAT ARE GONNA HURT SOME FEELINGS!!!!! I just hope it's not mine. Home of Wild Hare Kennels and FC Creek Woods Blue.

The registration applications that you get from the clubs ARE 2-part. The club keeps the white to send in (our club secretary sends all registrations in with the hunt results.) ($18) and you keep the yellow for your records.

I guess the clubs I went to don't give the copies back. I've registered about 6 or 7 dogs in 3 or 4 different hunts now and I don't have any copies of them, I just checked. I keep all papers that I recieve for our dogs. Ask Justin how thick my registration/pedigree binder is. He's always complaining that I need to clean it out. I guess I'll have to ask for them instead. Thanks for the info. If this is true, I see how it could work and I've got no problem with it.
