Bagging Some More Big South Mississippi Swampers

Post by CAINCUTTER »

Tuesday the weather was cool, the running was great and the gunning was not so bad. Billy and I along with the expert efforts of my four super hounds ran many and bagged five big swampers. I shot my gun a lot and managed to bag three. Billy got two. Billy’s last bunny was jumped by Cowboy as we were back at the truck, trying to load up for home. No hounds were in the box yet so they all joined in for one more fine run. Billy and I had to get our guns back out and get back in the woods.

I did manage to bag the first bunny of the day with just one shot. After that it took lots of spent shells to bring these big bunnies down. I shot at one rabbit three times and Billy shot at it three more before it was down.

Jay (The Hoghunter) will be glad to hear that I shot this bunny while perched high upon this tree. That is the Hoghunter way.

How about that smile?

Billy is a great Dog Wrangler and a fair shot.

We are going to need a bigger tailgate.

Today’s bunnies brings the total for the Caincutter Crew up to 54.

Where's the snow? We have snow up over our heads! Rabbits can't move, never mind the dogs and humans! Beeton, Ontario
