I like the Pants better for the area I hunt.

I would reither invest in the chaps because they would tear up quicker i would think from where the nylon isnt...but i have yet to be able to tear nylon chaps but if u do get chaps i would get the ones that have the zipper on the side...i messed up when i bought my first pair thinking the zipper wouldnt work to well but the zip on ones are alot better (Just my thoughts)
Ditto, Jr. ...... I bought a pair of Filson Tins which have no zipper. Great chaps but..... I have to take my boots off to get the chaps on and off. Don't know which is worse, putting on the chaps or getting shredded by briars. The Filson Double-Tins have zippers but cost quite a bit more.Jr Walker wrote:.......if u do get chaps i would get the ones that have the zipper on the side...i messed up when i bought my first pair thinking the zipper wouldnt work to well but the zip on ones are alot better (Just my thoughts)

I wear my Wicks chaps 4 to 1 more than my bibs , but they both have thier place in my opion. I've have both for about 4 years and the bibs look brand new and the chaps are starting to show a little wear near the bottems but still don't leak a drop. Since Wicks are closing I ordered myself and my daughter a set of chaps but I truly belive my bibs will last as long as I do. So if you can swing both I'd say do that but if not do the chaps but buy the best you can and they will last you for a while.

I prefer chaps.
Mule Hunting Clothing makes the toughest I have seen.
The guys I hunt with wear the brown chaps and they are ragged after 4 or 5 years. The Mules still are green and shiny though I did wear/tear the patches off the pockets.
