New HOY Program

In 2005 I went 43 hunts in 52 weekends.In 2007 I went to 38 hunts in PP.I had 3 dogs in the top 10 in 2005 and 2 this past year.Even though I placed consistantly and won my share of hunts I was no where near the 1st place dog in points.Moral of the story is be prepared to run and run hard if you want to be the highest scoreing dog.I had 2 dogs to promote in open this year along with 2 champions and 1 grand.No sense in paying all that money and one dog gets the credit.Oh yeah and the most likeable person that smiles and shakes everybody's hand gets points too.I thought this was all about the dogs and not if I was a good boy or not.

Id say hunt results will be posted. just not the HOY points in the back like always. I always enjoyed seeing which hounds were in the running. There is a no please all with any sets of rules. But these rules do seem to imply that you will have to be a "click" to win. It is suppose to promote the best dog and the owners really shouldnt be judged in any aspect of hound competition.

who is the person who acctually came up with this new format?


i would have rather went a year without any hoy race,let nkc take their time to develope a more hound freindly program that a hurry up deal like this one.

but this is what we have,i hope arha will be willing to fine tune this new program.

best thing to do is get rid of the 25% rule to start with.jmho

it is about the hounds,not judges and handlers,ect.

if ya aint goin to give a lil money kickback,at least give us the hof points.

Could someone PM me all this info of who was scratching dogs and who was adding hunts and all this other stuff, I have been out of this for so long I dont know all the new names or who was doing all the cheating, I would like to know who did all this.

Not that it matters I just hate being out of the loop, I have still got 2 life sentences to serve so I doubt I will ever get to go to a hunt again, but I would like to know what brought on all this stuff on.
