WANTING TO START A YOUTH HUNT IN MICHIGAN

I WAS WONDERING IF THERE WAS ANYONE INTERESTED IN HELPING STARTING A YOUTH HUNT FOR BEAGLES IN MICHIGAN AND IF THERE IS LET ME KNOW.THE CLUB WILL BE THE LOOKING GLASS RIVER SPORTSMENS CLUB,IN LAINGSBURG,MI 48848.THE WAY THIS WILL WORK IS THE PARNET,CAN GO ON THE CAST,BUT THE KIDS HAVE TO CALL THERE OWN DOG AND HANDLE THERE DOG.A DIFFERENT ADULT WILL JUDGE EACH CASTS.I WAS THINKING ABOUT DOING IT AUGUST SOMETIME ON A SATURDAY MORNING TOWARD THE MIDDLE OF THE MONTH.ALSO THERE WILL BE A KIDS BENCH SHOW.THE ENTRY FEE WE WILL $5 FOR THE HUNT AND $5 FOR THE SHOW.WE ALL READY HAVE SOME THAT WILL DONATE THE TROPHIES FOR THIS EVENT.
I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SOME FEED BACK ON THIS ,IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED,WE HAVE TO GET THE KIDS INVOLVED IN THE OUTDOORS,INSTEAD OF PLAYING VIDEO GAMES.

thats a good idea but the thing is getting them there the water wonderland coon club in millington has a big event they add points up i think over the year the kids run the hounds in events then have a runoff at he end of the year.

IS THAT EVENT FOR COONHOUNDS OR BEAGLES.LET ME KNOW,BECAUSE THERE IS KIDS FROM OWOSSO AND OTHER TOWNS THAT CAN COME TO ARE YOUTH BEAGLE HUNT.JUST ME KNOW BECAUSE THIS THE FIRST TIME I HEARD OF THIS AT MILLINGTON CLUB.DO THEY HAVE BEAGLE HUNTS THERE ANY MORE,BECAUSE THEY WHERE HAVING THE UKC PERFORMANCE PACK HUNTS.JUST WONDERING.

Great idea! Our boys are involved with the Doan Creek Outfitters pheasant youth hunt. With their hunt each kid walked away with something, whether it be a trophy, gun, certificate, hat, and in your case maybe a dog collar or something related. The main thing is that they received something. My husband and I are also involved with the V.F.W. Youth Hunt (youth hunt deer season in September), which is always fun. I totally agree kids need to be involved with the outdoors. I will keep checking on this subject to see how you are doing. Keena

we all ready have someone to donate torphies for the event,also we can give each kid a new leash and a collar for there dog.let me know what you think about doing it in august on a saturday.

thats just for coon hounds we moved our beagle club 20 min east of the old club there but we cancled all our ukc events wasnt a good enough turnout
