Re: Tennessee trials
Plow that sounds like the way to go, i will see what i can do to get some people to be judges, i myself would be interested, and i got several fellers younger than me that i believe would make good and fare judges, i don't know if these ol bones could hold up.
Looks like a way to get started i would for sure like to have a fun run to see what kinda turn out we could have, or interest there is to get a club started here.
Thanks

Re: Tennessee trials
I spoke with a fellow from pkc, they are holding a trial 3/15/08 at Ten Mile Tenn. Trial has a $500 added purse and is a try one hunt I believe. I found the info at pro hound online upcoming events.

Re: Tennessee trials
Never heard of ten mile but i have heard of nine mile, it's just a 25 min drive for me. Whats 10 mile close to? i know of a club in Cookeville which is 45 mins from here and i have run in there enclosure with them and they don't like my style of hounds there, they run SPO hounds and man they are really slow, no heads up just walk and bark, and keeping the line between there legs with no more than 10 foot swing. My hounds smoke them on bunnies alot loaded there hounds and pulled out of the race pissed. One guy told me when he pulled his hounds out that they didn't run that style of hounds in there Club and my type of hounds was blowing all there hounds up causing them not to run true????????????
I told him if they were true to there breeding they run there own race no matter what they run against, i know mine do, but on a good note there was some who really like watching my hounds run and stayed to watch the action of really pushing them bunnies.

Re: Tennessee trials
NOW THAT I COULDN'T SAY.
Re: Tennessee trials
The PKC hunt at Ten Mile is being held on Gary Beaty's place and he told me it was March 1, someone has their dates mixed up somewhere not saying they didn't change it but he told me last week it was March 1 and he also said it was going to be a $1,000 bucks purse and if they didn't have at least 50 entries then PKC was doing away with the rabbit and squirrel hunts for good. Gary is supposed to have several people from middle Tn. coming up.I am going but aint entering any dogs just going to watch. I'll stop by the feed store in the morning and ask his wife if they have any idea how many dogs are going to be there. I would be interested in joining a club Donnie if you get one going I am only a hour away from you. Most of my dogs are medium speed but I have a few that would do well in LP. I know of several people around here that may be interested but like me their dogs are more suited for PP than LP. I wish we had a PP club around here to doubleb, only ones I know of are in Ga and middle TN near Nashville.

Re: Tennessee trials
tnhoss according to the official pkc web site for beagles the hunt has been changed to march 29 need some official date if they want people to come.i work the 29 but other dates i could come need to call pkc an find out for sure.as for pp pack clubs i wish we could get one allso but dont think its going to happen.but if anyone is interested we can try to get one started lp has got to ruff for me people have speed confused with ruff imo
Re: Tennessee trials
I'll try and talk to Gary ASAP, all I know is several weeks ago I was buying feed and his wife told me they were having a PKC hunt on their place and when I spoke to Gary later on he told me it was March 1st so who knows. I would be interested in PP club as well, like I said earlier I have both LP and PP style dogs but I am getting into the medium speed dogs more now. If you try and get a PP club going give me a holler and I'll help out any way I can.

Re: Tennessee trials
Thanks TNHOSS if we can get it going we would be glad to have ya. I am running adds and talking to alot of folks about becoming Judges, so if i can get enough interest in that i believe we will be able to get this thing rolling.
Re: Tennessee trials
The PKC hunt has been changed to March 29, I just spoke to Gary's wife a little while ago. She told me they changed it because of some big hunt in Ohio or somewhere where the dates were conflicting.

Re: Tennessee trials
I am very interested in a club I live in Deer Lodge tn about 45mins from Crossville. If I could do anything let me know. I don't know why rabbit hunts are not as popular here like up north. I know there is a guy on here who go by windsplitters that lives up the road from me that might be interested to. Like I said let me know what I can do to help.

Re: Tennessee trials
Plateau,
Let me know if you can get a club started? I'd be happy to join and help anyway I can. I know of a few fellow beaglers down in this end of the county who would probably be interested to.
