I owned a fifteen inch male directly out of Bugle Boy, purchased him as a eight week old pup- he had a nice personality from the get go, started easily had good good foot to go with his personality and a nice mouth but that is about it! He had a very weak nose, marginal hunt and search, etc. A littermate brother to this hound just finished this year Aman's Yodler Newton G is this hounds name. I guess I really dont know much about Bugle Boy directly but I didnt see anything spectacular that this particular cross produced. Kurt Robinson

I judged him once in an AKC SPO on rabbit trial. I liked him. He placed third that day. He had a ton of foot, good hunt, seemed to have an adequate nose and wasn't faulty with his mouth. He was a little wide in the check area at times , but not that bad for a "large pack on hare " trialed hound. That's all I know about him.

I've seen a good number of hounds out of Lumberjack run and Bugle was one of the best in my eyes... I''m sure he's had his ups and downs but for consistancy and all around good hound he was one of NMHA's best...
I have never seen a big male move a hare not to mention a cottontail with the speed this male could run'em. Steve Aman the owner of Bugle has always had something good out of Bugle ready for the next trial season. Dave Martin
