akc might be different but arha states
Eyes - A hound's eyes should be clear, responsive, friendly, round and well set (even from side to side balanced).
thats all that is stated about the eyes

I had a AKC registered male that had TWO blue eyes. He was almost all white and at night his eyes glowed red. Called him Plover River White Zombie.
