I never seen anything mouthy out of ali baba or direct sons a matter of fact it is just the opposite ,and as far as cracking under pressure i think you might have heard wrong ali-baba created the pressure with extreme speed and drive also about the backtracking ali-baba was so full of fire he would hit a track and sometimes start going wrong but would immediately turn it around and head out at mach peed (thanks ringo ) im not saying hewas perfect but this negative stuff is not entirely true .

Like those old hounds or not, how can anyone take away credit from a hound that year after year showed up on the top sire list on top or near it? Are people that ignorant or that kennel blind.
Subjects like this are the reason so many knowlagable houndsmen with years of experience, wont or dont come on these boards. Once again, I feel they still can teach us by not posting...I can only hope that one of my backtracking, mouthy, no hunting, crazy line running hounds will someday be in as many pedigree's as Ali-Baba, or any of the hounds who made this sport what it is today.

carry on with this no-merrit talk, I have paint to watch dry.

sorry rick i wont play the BS game with ya. people also put hounds a little higher after the die also. ask some of the LPH guys what they thought.

and i love trashing trail setter, any time u wanna go there we can, i had 2 femals out of him. so i have a real good measuring stick.

there is a list as long as my arm who watch this hound run, and they all say the same thing.

go watch your paint try, and stop sniffing the fumes!!!

what i was meaning about hot nose and tight mouth is i love a cold trailer just cant stand one that barks before it is up a good cold trailer will trail with out barking until it is up than they will scream there is a difference between cold trailing and babbleing it aright for a dog to cold trail as long as it keeps it mouth shut until it is up a hot nose dog cant even smell that track most times and that is what i mean by cold trailing with brains

I recently purchased a double breed Ali Baba male, and he is boraderline tight mouth. He will give a wimper right before he starts to open up. I like the Ali Baba breedings, well any branko breed dog. If you put him under pressure he is a hunting machine, but i you have a hound that sticks around you he will hunt, but not hard. And is only about 11in. and does him hunting hard under pressure, Does that come from Ali Baba or any other branko dog?

well its just like every post anybody puts up there is always trashing going on,,,,,,but i belive ole BRANKO KARPAN did his home work with this hound and every other hound he studed out,,,,,like rick said next it will be jack of all trades, heli prop, east coast trimmer,,,,the only reason people trash hounds is they dont own any of it and if they did study the line they wouldnt bad mouth it,,,,,,,NOW THE POST WAS ABOUT ,,,,whats everybodys thoughts about him and what he produced and every body has an opinion,,,,,,

but i will tell you if jack, heli prop, baba, trimmer, conman etc etc was still around you can bet your big ass id have a gyp to breed to each of them,,,,,,

id give anybody on here a free breeding to my ali-baba male just to see pups out there,,,,,,

any takers,,,,,,,,,

I understood the definition of a cold trailer as one who barks early on a cold track. The dogs I run trail older tracks with happy tails but do not bark until the bunny is moving. That is what I like. As soon as the rabbit leaves town the dogs explode. Additionally, I don't want them hanging around on old scent too long. That's where the brains come in.
I don't keep trail dogs either. They have to be rabbit smart and get in the briars. I had a Branko male that was a nice hound just to much of a trail hound so I moved him, cheap. He would probably have been better suited on hare than cottontail. He could drive a rabbit nicely but first and foremost the dog must be a good jump dog with an honest mouth.
But again, I am not saying my way is the only way, to each his own. Feed what you like as the saying goes.

Back on topic: I would breed to Ali-Baba in a heartbeat if he were still around. I have heard way more good than bad about this dog. I find it hard to believe a dog with his record or that Branko would stud a dog out that was a backtracking mouthy hound or that the word would not have gotten out and people would still breed to him.

i gave u my answer,i was not bashing . jeff go call branko he has frozen seman from baba. crap the doe and get a female bread.

well seeing how some cant handle the truth, and have never seen first hand or had close friends watch him first hand. i dont belong in any circle jerk. i can handle that on my own. branko has done great things for use, but hounds are hounds!! there isnt a perfect hound alive, but what u can live with i might not be able to. or i may like a difrent style.

Usually the ones bad mouthing him are the ones he that didnt have enough power to run with him ,i could be wrong no hound is perfect but i know where there is 4 or 5 males directly out of him that it would take a pretty large amount of money to buy them 1 is 1 win away from an ifc hesa 13 in :brankos flashback ,1 isa ukc grhbch Brankos Mystery man ,ukc hbch Baba Clyde , ukc hbch or 5pts away Brankos Paladin ,Brankos Buckeye Lady ,also several others directly out of him that are placing now . I have seen alot of Brankos hounds go turbo ,Brankos Sugar ray who is not out of ali -baba ,ALI- BABA ,LOVE THE BLOOD .I have several young dogs out of mystery man that are hunting machines ,bark when itsup ,hard hunt ............ I like mine

well my hound doesnt have any titles but he is a champ to me,,,,,like i said he will be 10 this summer and no amount will buy him,,,,,,you know everybody has something about each branko hounds,,,,,i have been told so many time lumber jack threw shy hounds i have had 3 still owning 1 that were grand pups to him that didnt have a shy bone in them,,,i think eddy has a point here,,,,,,that when the bad mouthing comes is because people are upset cause they had nothing to compete with them,,,,,,,,
