i wrestled for years and have cought ringworm from dirty mats for humans we would go to the doctor and get a steroid shot but for your dog i would recomend to get some hydrocortizone cream or lotramin cream [spelling] but the same stuff you would put on a diper rash or bed sores it is used for fungi and basic sores but if it is ring worm you can catch it easy so make sure you wash your hand good after handling your dog

Ringworm is a fungal infection that invades the hair and hair folicsls. While worming your dog is always a good idea it won't help the skin condition. Ringworm gets its name from the red ring that causes hair loose that resembles a worm under the skin.
I use Blue Lotion Spray and it works well but you must use it several days after the infection has cleared up just to make sure it doesn't come back.
As far as worming a pregnant bitch I always continue to worm mine on schedule just as if she wasn't bred and I also use Ivermec for heart worms and I've never had a problem. I don't raise a lot of pups but I do raise one or two litters a year and have for some time and my pups have always been healthy.
If you have a different method that works well for you and you fell comfortable with it by all means I would stay with it.

Pine Top, in the last 10 years or so that I've known alot of beaglers use it or med's that contain it there seems to be alot more dogs dying from liver/kidney failure at a young age 4-7 years old or so. That stuff hangs in the blood for quite sometime and like any pesticide etc. has side effects for sure.It goes through the liver. Just like bug spray with DEET can cause eppileptic seizures in people, in the heat that stuff can make you feel nuashess if you use alot (fishing season here) I only use a bit on my hat now and cover up more. It also melts fishing line. You guys in the south have more ticks and heart worm than us, but it's a toss up on using the stuff. I think you can use it when needed, but lots of people over use it continually thinking it's the CURE ALL medicine.

I had a dog that I battled a ring worm / fungus infection for months.
I put nu-stock and a lot of other remedies that were recommended on it, and it would come and go.
What got rid of it for good was putting blue-kote on it daily.
That stuff is messy but it cleared up his ears.
