I am switching to Sexton Bro's Feed

floor feed is not swept off the floor.lets say they making 22/16 the guy who is mixing the ingredient put to much corn or not enough fat in it.that batch become floor feed.sometime the knifes that cut the dog food mess up and the pellet are the wrong shape or to long,then that become floor feed.floor feed is at least 21% or better.
worm come from fleas,mother milk,and from the environment which a dog stay in.there a different between slander and freedom of speech.

i was told by the people working there that floor sweep is food that spills onto the floor,food that is left over in the hoppers,ect.bottom line is you can go there and see rats running everywhere,i saw them with my own eyes,rats carry disease,i found rat droppings in the bags that i bought,but,it dont matter to me what ya feed,i like purina,may cost more,but ya get what ya pay for............

and eric,if floor sweep isnt swept off the floor,why is it calledFLOOR SWEEP?

its not call food sweep.its call floor feed.
i live about 1/2 mile from the mill.
i know everyone that been working there for the past 15 years.
i dont see rats running everywhere.
that just a flat out lie and you know it.

you are right it is called floor feed not sweep and you are correct. "Sweep" is a tobacco term for loose leaves and dust in the stripping room floor or facility. I went and toured the whole place and talked to everyone and I can assure you...no rats. It is a clean place and well taken care of..It isn't a big deal to go look at the mill..stop get some feed and i'm sure they will walk you back there to check it out. I wouldn't feed it if I didn't like what I seen.
btw how many people have toured a purina/nestle plant? what do they look like? will they let you..just curious

oh and btw..ya said a dog won a big 5 by eating Sexton's brothers..everyone might as well get used to it..this year I am coming..and hell is coming with me

FIRST OF ALL,I DONT APPRECIATE BEING CALLED A LIAR,I WAS DOWN AT THE PLANT AND BOUGHT SEXTONS BY THE TON JUST LIKE BRAD I WENT ON THE LIL TOUR,THE GUY I TALKED TO CALLED IT SWEEP,SO THAT IS WHAT I CALL IT,AFTER I GOT MY FOOD,HE TOOK ME TO SHOW ME THE DOG BOXES THEY SELL,THEY KEPT THEM IN THE BUILDING TO THE RIGHT,OUT FRONT,WHILE WALKIN TO THE BUILDING,I SAW 4 RATS THE SIZE OF CATS RUN ACROSS THE LOT,AND DOWN ALONG SIDE THE MAIN BUILDING,WEATHER THEY WENT INSIDE OR NOT I DONT KNOW,BUT ANYONE THAT HAS EVER STORED FEED IN A BUILDING KNOWS YA HAVE RATS,THIS IS A PLANT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COUNTRY FULL OF FEED.

Don't think for one second that these BIG food processors through out what goes on the floor or are even concerned about anything but the bottom line when it comes to condemning a lot of other defects in meat and poultry products. Having been a USDA Meat and Poultry Inspector for 28 years I've seen it all but the sad thing is it's not the exception but the norm and the BIG conglomerates play roulette with you and your families health every day. The sad part about the food industry is they have so many places they can shift the blame including the unexpecting consumer!

What the verdict on Sexton's.

I have ran with couple of fellow that fed it here lately and their dogs look good on it.

Im not bashing the Sextons , But I did give it try a while back. I did not like it. My dogs got very poor looking and I was feeding them 3 cups a day. Like I said , im not bashing the food. i know all the coonhunters around here feed it and wont feed anything else. It just didnt suit me.
