whats the fastest hound you have owned personally

Fastest I have seen is Osborne's Spade....hands down...I've seen him run many a cast in Indiana where is was 50 yards or more ahead of the pack for most of the hour.

He hasn't lost anything yet either, he'll be at the world this year in prime shape too

IVE GOT A BUDDY THAT HAS A MALE THAT IS STRAIGHT OFF OF SPADE, THAT IS VERY TUFF AND I HAVE A FEMALE THAT IS PRETTY QUICK MY FEMALE IS A FULL LITTERMATE TO THE BITCH THAT HRIS SHOOPMAN HAS MARGERETTA, SHE IS A TUFF HOUD TO, LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING SPADE THIS YEAR AT THE WORLD. HEARD GREAT GREAT THINGS BOUT HIM GOT PUPS OUT OF A HARCHARMER RINGO MALE AND MY SPADE BITCH, THEY ARE LOOKING REAL BIG AND VERY FAST SO FAR, KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED

SPADE IS OUT OF PINE MT CHESTER AND PINE MT SPIRIT ,I HAVE A FEMALE OUT OF SPADE AND PINE MT BONNET.I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SAW OLE SPADE RUN WITH HIS GRAND SIRE BLUE BANKS SWEET SINGER,I THINK SPADE MIGHT BE FASTER BUT IT WOULD SURE BE INTERESTING,,I KEPT A FEMALE LITTER MATE TO SPADE THAT HAD SOME FOOT,SEEM'S LIKE THERE IS A LOT OF FAST HOUNDS AROUND NOWDAY'S''

Backatit. to answear your question that year i was out of work for the fall so yes we where averagaing hunting about 5 days a week and on a typical day hunt 6 or 7 hours a day. heck still on a good day around here with some fast hounds you'll jump a good 20 bunnies and that should be an easy number here this year. lots of rabbits.

THE FASTEST DOG THAT I HAVE EVERY OWNED (STILL OWN) IS PENNINGTON'S WHISTLER. HE CHEATS, HE'S NOT REAL LOUD, AND HE'S OVER 15IN. YOU CAN'T HAVE A GOOD RACE WITH A PACK WITH HIM.

yep,ol whistler can haul the mail,ran against him with jessie at the wva state,jessie hit a jump strike and the first two checks,i thought,yep,got this one in the bag............

whistler silently slipped off,kicked it into overdrive,five checks later all by himself the judges,after yellin"get them dogs up here" over and over, had to call dead track cause they couldnt stay close to him.................

call him what ya want,the dog will slip off with his voice,but he has the gears to stay out there,i would feed him...........

The Lord's Simon is the fastest hound I have ever owned personally. He is out of Big Meadows Tiny Tim and Aftershocks Posion Ivy. Tiny took tenth at the world hunt this year I think in the grands.

We've got a hound named FC HBCH GRCH Creek Woods Blue. He got pretty darn fast when he went off a cliff at Wurtland's trial last winter!!!

My "fastest" beagle was my first beagle.
She was the product of a Greek Hare Hound mother and a Michigan beagle father.
She was lean, long legged, and stood 16.5 "
This dog ran rabbits straight to holes or caught them in a half circle!
Super fast!
I remember running her with a guy's 13" midwest dogs out of Indian Hills Majer. After we ran I asked if they were slow? I didn't know much about bloodlines then. They couldn't keep up.
At 5 yrs of age she slowed a little, and started circling rabbits instead of catching them.
Our American beagles are way behind the Greek hare hounds. They turn on a dime and run to catch!
