I have a 3 dog unit. Just yesterday one of my collars quit working.
I spent 2 hours waiting around for my hard headed dog to come in.
I had already ran for 4 hours. She must have been hunting, I never heard her bark.
I tried to shock her 1000000 times on 6. When she came in, I took the collar off & it was not working at all.
I called TT and some guy there told me to take the batteries out of one of the other collars & put them in the one that dont work.
I said you got to be kidding me..........I am sending it back. I have used TT collars since the antenna's used to be wires ran through the collars.
The best one I ever had was the 200 Light. These G2's I have all 3 collars tones sound different.
Sometimes I get range & sometimes I don't.
Not very happy with them at all.

JoeymanJoeyman wrote:how long did you hold the button for? When I tested mine. The further out I went the longer the person holding remote had to press the button for it to get a full tone sound. If they just tapped the button quickly the blinking light on the color would light up with no tone. When he held the button for longer time lets say 4 to 5 seconds it then beeped. Also the further out you go you may have to up the level to 3. Level 1 is a weaker signal. You see what I'm trying to say. This is just my opinion not a fact for sure. Any thoughts on this guy's?
The levels on your transmitter are for the stimulation level and have nothing to do with signal strength. The stimulation comes from the collar, the signal comes from the transmitter. If the collar gets the signal it will stimulate at the set level. Turning up the stimulation level does not inprove the power of the signal. At stimulation level 2 the dog will get the same level if he is 10 feet away or a mile away as long as the signal gets to the collar. Do not turn up the level when your dog is farther away.

But do you have to hold the button down longer to get the signal to the collar? Does that make sense?

not really. I suppose it would take a fraction of a second delay from when you first press to when the signal is recieved, but then it would also take the same fraction of a second from when you let off to when the reciever stops recieving, so hold just for the time you intend to shock and the reciever will get that same length of stimulation.

Re: New G2S Problems
got the classic 70 G2 and was not getting the range i expected from it . was tested here in small planted pines with no powerlines and worked spotty at 2/10 ths of a mile and wouldn't even tone at 3/10th's . sent it in and they said everything was working great . get it back same exact thing . now they want me to send it back ,whats the use of wasting 10 to ship it back to hear the same response. really not happy.
