I use the heated 2 gallon water buckets from Tractor Supply. $24.95 each.

Tried the plastic ones about 4 years ago. The dogs chewed on them and broke them all up. If I was going to buy them again I'd buy the stainless steel ones.

We have been just soaking the food down real well. We check their water twice a day but they don't seem to drink much with the food soaked down.

Walmart carries the heated bowls ... If you can catch them in stock about 14 or 15 dollars
They are stainless with metal wrapped cords . I use fish tank heaters that you just drop in the bucket , they run about 5 bucks each.

I like the fish tank heater Idea :D But I already five heated buckets. I got mine at rural king and I know TSC carries them I would say about any farm supply store would have them. Finding them in stock will be the problem I went to three rural kings before getting mine
Good luck

That's what I do also, I call it beagle soup. I always feed my dogs in the afternoon but when it starts to get below freezing I start giving them half a cup of food and then I fill their bowl with warm water, they go nuts for it and get plenty of water while they are at it. Then I just switch out their water bowls twice a day to keep fresh water available.

Heated water bowels are the nicest thing to have in the winter. I found a website that sells them. Horses.com anywhere from 2.5 gal to 15gal. I bought 15, 2.5 gal heated buckets, they are 19.00 a piece cheapest ive found. these are very good quality flat backed buckets so they fit snug agianst the fence in your kennel.
