LOL...funny....ah sure, how much....found out a sucker is born every minute. Unfortunately this time it was ME!!!....Still burns my arse...little &^%%&( ^%%$)

While in Jacksonville, FL I was approached by a fella who just had a battery explode in his wife's face and they took her to the ER but he stayed behind with the car and had to give ALL of his money to the tow truck driver so he ONLY needed $10 to go see his wife in the hospital. The guy had a great story...I didn't give him money but there was a sucker in our group that did. The same guy got taken for a tank of gas from some crack head in Las Vegas too...

You have Da Chief to take care of you...no need for two babysitters (mentors) :hammer:

AS a woman, I appreciate someone holding the door for me. But I will also hold the door for anybody in my wake, or let someone go ahead of me that is older. AS a mother, I have taught my kids to do the same and to say thank you for anybody that would do it for them. One daughter and one son. Both are kids that have respect and treat other people the way they would like to be treated.

IN my younger days I worked in Male dominated jobs. I had to bust my ass twice as hard as the men to earn half the respect. But I can still be a lady!!

Amen to that Schag

Too many parents don't want to spank their kids anymore. They say it isn't good for them. That is BS! Those kids need more ass whoopins! This whole world has gone soft.

That is the truth, Hurry up you are right, I would like to give someone the boot, but mommy won't allow it. I figure at 20 years of age living off of me and his mother never lifting a finger around the house, and not being employeed, Not having a vehicle, coming and going as he pleases. It would be time for him to go out into the world and learn some responsibility. Not to mention all of the other problems this has brought upon a marriage. But that is her son, and she has made it clear what is more important to her.Now don't think i am trying to be harsh here, but when two people are married there has to be some give and take, everyone in the houshold has to work at it. Kids or young adults (most of the time) will run over the parents if they are allowed. I understand he is her son, but he is also an adult and you would think a parent would want to see his or her son excel and gain independance. ANYHOW I PUT THIS OUT there and this is a beagle board, and i need to stop while i am ahead, just like to vent-------------

Don't think I've had anyone get really upset about holding the door. When my wife(city girl) and I first met, she thought it was silly. I just told her that she wasn't used to being treated nicely and continued to do it. Turns out she liked it after all. ;)

On the other hand, I've had several people over the years get bent out of shape when I addressed them as sir or ma'am. I'm 45 and I still do it for people both older and younger than me.

Speaking for myself I appretiate when someone opens a door or lifts something heavy for me. Old school manners and morals need to be practiced a little more in world today.
