I’ve figured it out, Both Party’s Stink!

I don’t really know why many of you are blaming the “pork” on Obama and Democrats only. Both Republicans and Democrats are responsible. We have seen that in the last 8 years and look at what we have today. We already know the Democrats had their hand out, but 6 of the 10 senators that requested the most earmark dollars were Republicans. In the House, Republicans accounted for five of the top 10. Republicans in Congress crucified Democrats for both the overall size and the number of earmarks attached to the $410 billion bill that Obama signed. But, despite the name calling, blaming and degrading, Republicans requested 40 percent of the earmarks and ranked among the highest pork barrel spenders. Give credit where credit is due? The same goes for “blame”. Blame who is really at blame, even if he is in your party.

Since overtaking power in Congress in January 2007, Democrats have implemented more "drastic" earmarking guidelines than ever before. Democrats reduced the total number of earmarks last year by 43 percent, while earmark totals increased every year Republicans controlled Congress.

But than again, Democrats were responsible for 60 percent of the earmarks in the bill and no Democrats were apologizing for it.

Face it, hypocrites are who we have representing us for the majority {both parties}. That won’t change until we have a strong “independent” that represents the “real” America. But that don’t mean we have to turn into hypocrites too, just to have the back of our particular party. Be real and put the blame where it belongs and get rid of both, some Republicans and Democrats that are corrupt the next election.

Some of you guys on this forum are sticking up for “Democrats” or “Republicans” like parents stick up for their children even when they know they have done wrong. Let’s say I voted for a Democrat and you voted for a Republican. Why should you take it personal if I say Bush was dumb as a box of rocks and started a war over getting revenge for his Daddy? Why should I take it personal if you say Clinton was a JFK want-to-be and was an immoral loser that liked getting his rocks off with his hot intern rather than being a president? Do you think they care about you or that your out there sticking up for them? It is all about the $$$$. You don’t owe any “Party” or politician your loyalty, wrong is wrong in any Party.

I got an idea, take 3 days on this forum and the Republicans only post about the good deeds of the Democrats and the bad deeds of the Republicans, and all the Democrats on here only post the good deeds of the Republicans and the bad deeds of the Democrats. If both sides would do the proper research you would get a real eye opening experience and some much needed balance, because you would find plenty on both.

How we can find an “independent” to compete with the two dominating Parties is what we need to focus on.

I have said all along we have a one party sytem and are being played with the ole good cop/bad cop mantality. I agree on the strong independent ideology. Problem is, Obama is such a socialist that I had to vote for McCain even though I thought he did a poor job of representing a conservtive Reagonesque style candidate. The Republican Party has abandoned their base and the Democrats are out of control. We're screwed and I really can't find anything good to say about either party at this time.

I find it very interesting that NOW Dr Chris wants to place blame on BOTH parties...during the runup to the election, and even after Obambi was annointed, everything was BUSH's FAULT, Obambi could do no wrong, blah, blah, blah...NOW you want us to all come together in a great big kumbaya lovefest and blame BOTH parties...While I can agree that Republicans have added to the spending package, I also think they should be held accountable and FIRED from their jobs for it. You were all for Obambi and his plans in the beginning Dr Chris, why the change?? (Change, thats funny)


Could it be that even YOU realize he isnt the messiah that everyone who voted for him thought him to be?? Could you all finally be seeing the light and noticing all the criminals he has tried to get into office, the anti american business attitude of his entire administration, the anti gun legislation just waiting to be pushed through??? Maybe you are all seeing the puppet strings of Nanci Pelosi and Harry Reid making Obambi dance their dances?? Could it be???

So what am I supposed to do as an Independant? I like Richard Lugar and Evan Bayh... but then again I could be biased when it comes to those two.

But when it comes right down to it. Moderates on both sides of the aisle get my vote of approval.
