One of my buddies has one too. He ran electric wire around the top of his pen. No problems since then.

i had one a few years back (he's too old now to do it) that was climbing out of a horse stall on me.... when he got to the top which was about 5ft high, he was jumping off... he done it so many times that he done something to his vertebrae in his back... atleast thats the only thing the vet could figure out but he ended up compressing two vertebrae together and pinching a nerve and when i got him out to run after about an hour he would be staggering around and falling down and couldnt keep his balance... took him to the vet and 350.00 later they told me to just let it fuse together and that he should be fine... a year later he is running again but you can still see the signs of it when he runs....

i would nip that habbit in the butt quick if i was you... i about wore my shocking collars out after that when i caught him trying it anymore... he would climb fence, board fence, or horse stall walls... i had never seen anything like it..

A roof or an electric fencer wire around the top perimeter should do the trick for you. If you go the roof method, just make sure that you have it securely fastened around the corners so he doesn't get his head through it and get stuck and strangle himself.

"put a roof on it"

That's what I had to do before I went to off the ground kennels.

Use fence or run a hot wire, chicken wire or 2"x4" galvinezed around the top perimeter will keep them in.A tarp over the top works too but if you dont rig it up to shed rain it can collapse the kennel.Make sure you do it right and don't set your dog up to hang himself.

I use electric fence around my entire back yard about 8" above the ground. Have a privacy fence but years ago one dug out. I have never had one get out since or even try get around it. BTW I use a unit made for dogs by Fi-Shock. I think you can get them for less then $30.

I had a female that started climbing a 6' fence also. She was a good dog, but one that climbs or digs is not welcome at my kennel long. I ran a cable through the center of the fence, about 2.5' off the ground, and put her on a chain. She could climb, but she couldn't get to the top. My kennel was 12x6x6. It worked good and was cheap to do.

She now lives in NC... Good luck to you..

Just zip tie 2ft wide sections from one corner to the next and create an apron of sorts across the top.

That darn Rowdy has one. I should have shot him years ago.
