Wicks

Post by nb11 »

Someone said Wicks was getting up and running again.
Is this here-say, or is it confirmed?
Any idea on a date?
Thanks

This is just from waht I've heard. The lady that I buy my dog food off of said a buisness friend of her's baught all of wichs patterns and like 3 thousand dollar of the same material from somewhere in texas. The wicks will be made again but under a different name. If anybody is wanting details let me know and I'll give her a call and get the ladys name that baught everything from wicks and what they will be called when she starts to make them. All in all, it will be the same exact stuff just under a different name. I'll try to find out when she'll be makeing them and reselling the product.

I think the Wicks quality (although under a different name) being back on the market is worthy of a post for all to see.....not private messages.

From what I've heard the first week of April she will be getting some of the material in and will begin working on things.
Good luck to everyone who wants more Wick stuff.

Wow. Hesston PA is about 30 minutes from me. That's good!
Be nice if it really was "Wicks" material and not hear say.

thanks.

Anyhow.... I had an email conversation with Stone Creek Hounds today. I sent them a link to this thread and asked some questions. Here was my reply (cut and pasted):

I am getting in the material just like Wick used. I do not have it as of yet, expecting it any time. First things we will be making with this material will be chaps, jackets with hoods and jackets without hoods. I did not buy her patterns but these jackets and chaps will be made as closely to theirs as possible as they had the best clothing on the market as far as I am concerned. I also did not spend $30,000.00 on anything. I did get some of her things when she closed but not nearly that much. I also did not buy her out and go under a different name , Stone Creek Hounds and Hunting Supplies is our business that we have had for a while, just expanding . I would love to say I am the new owner of Wicks as they were top of the line. I just don't want any hard feelings between Linda or John Wick and ourself if they would get the wrong impression that I am stating that I bought them out. They are both very good friends of ours and that is important to us, and we want to keep it that way.

In a later email, she told me to post their website on here, and to say that since they haven't received the material yet, the stuff isn't on the site. I asked what their plans were for getting the stuff out to customers. Are they taking orders, or do they want to build and inventory before taking orders? I didn't get a reply yet.

Here's the site: http://www.stonecreekhounds.com

have a good day.
