I'm really wanting to go this coming season here in just a little bit. Not to sure on what day is opening day but anyway Done Gone Beagles said he knows of a spot. We'll see if he'll let me hunt it.

My other half is a big turkey hunter, beagles are the only thing that comes close. Season isn't in here yet. He makes custom diaphragm calls for both hunters and competition callers. He also makes glass calls, slate calls and combo calls. Lucky for me he does most his practicing in the garage, backyard and driving down the road while he is working. He just taught my 22 boy scouts how to make glass/slate pot calls.... I can imagine a whole new line of insane mothers

There is nothing better than hearing that first gobble right before light. It is a feeling you can't explain and for those who don't hunt turkey, they will never understand. It is freakin awesome. I just wish they would act the same in the fall. It's probably a good thing they don't because there would be another 3 weeks that the dogs wouldn't see the ground.

HLC.. He probably figures he can practice in peace with out complaining and interruptions. 5 people and 7 dogs living in a 3 bedroom house... he goes to the garage to escape!!

My son is now old enough he is going into his 3rd season, he figures he has no need at this point to learn how to call, he lets his dad do all the calling. Scott calls a lot of turkeys in for other hunters through the season, Shaun is not alone in his thinking.

Heck yeah.... our season open the last of March and i only work 3 days a week for the hole month it's open, so what you think????
Like it's was said, there nothing like calling in your own turkey at daylight having it jar the woods with each gobble, drumming, getting closer and closer. The excitement is freaking out of this world. i have called for new hunters to get them started and they say after there 1st turkey there is nothing like it and they will hunt them till they die or can't anymore.

So it would be a for sure on do we like to Turkey hunt at Gibson's pondarosa. My oldest son just bought a new Benelli Super Nova just to hunt them rascals this year. Nice gun with a nice price.
Wished it was mine, but my ol mossburg 835 super mag will have to do for now.Them 3 1/2 in #5 turkey loads don't give one a fighting chance upto 55 yards.
