4th of July

Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men
who signed the Declaration of Independence?
Five signers were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died.
Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned.
Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army;
another had two sons captured.
Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or
hardships of the Revolutionary War.
They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes,
and their sacred honor.
What kind of men were they?
Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists.
Eleven were merchants,
nine were farmers and large plantation owners;
men of means, well educated,
but they signed the Declaration of Independence
knowing full well that the penalty would be death if
they were captured.
Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and
trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the
British Navy. He sold his home and properties to
pay his debts, and died in rags.
Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British
that he was forced to move his family almost constantly.
He served in the Congress without pay, and his family
was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him,
and poverty was his reward.
Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer,
Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton.
At the battle of Yorktown, Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that
the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson
home for his headquarters. He quietly urged General
George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed,
and Nelson died bankrupt.
Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed.
The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.
John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying.
Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill
were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in forests
and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his
children vanished.
So, take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July holiday and
silently thank these patriots. It's not much to ask for the price they paid.

Remember: freedom is never free!

I hope you will show your support by sending this to as many
people as you can, please. It's time we get the word out that patriotism
is NOT a sin, and the Fourth of July has more to it than beer.

Amen to that Rick it seems most have forgotten what Independance day is all about
or how it came about the parties are nice I guess but we need to reflect and realize what we are celebrating

Such sacrifice is only given when the circumstances are so grave and the outlook so grim that the alternative is intolerable.

When the downtrodden came to these shores, it was hope that built this great Nation. A life of oppression had melted the metal and the new cast of hope and freedom in this Country was being forged. Nothing fits or feels as good as a new suite, The chance to own and build upon ones own Independence..., the law of liberty and justice that honors that right, fuels a fire within the spirit that...well...causes men and women to take extreme measures.

It is the real character of these people that strikes me most. The knowing that they themselves would probably indeed face all kinds of hardships, even death over their cause. It is strikingly obvious that they knowingly, were fighting for the future generations that would reap the benefits of their own personal sacrifice and losses... :cry:

As the goose bumps subside, I can only say how proud I am to be an American, and the honorable footsteps of those who served this great Nation long be remembered... :nod:

Recently some people have often incorrectly stated that America was not founded as a Christian Nation. Many like to make our childrens text books to reflect this also, but this a lie. Our forefathers were Christians seeking a land where they could fullfill the Great Commission and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Below is a copy of the Mayflower Compact written by the first Pilgrims when they landed in Virgina.
Within a year about 40% had died, the survivors founded and became the United States of America.
They knew Freedom only comes from Sacrifice. :nod:

The Mayflower Compact


In the name of God, Amen. We, whose names are underwritten, the Loyal Subjects of our dread Sovereign Lord, King James, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, etc.
Having undertaken for the Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith, and the Honour of our King and Country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the northern Parts of Virginia; do by these Presents, solemnly and mutually in the Presence of God and one of another, convenant and combine ourselves together into a civil Body Politick, for our better Ordering and Preservation, and Furtherance of the Ends aforesaid; And by Virtue hereof to enact, constitute, and frame, such just and equal Laws, Ordinances, Acts, Constitutions and Offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the General good of the Colony; unto which we promise all due Submission and Obedience.

If Any Doubt Should be raised on this.. Read the following text...
many have tried and are still trying to Change the Context if not so much the context then the meaning I think it was pretty Clear What these Folks meant. and Nothing others can Say will or Can change What they were about and What they believed..


This great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been and are afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here.

The U.S. Constitution established a Republic rooted in Biblical law, administered by representatives who are Constitutionally elected by the citizens. In such a Republic all Life, Liberty and Property are protected because law rules.

The Declaration of Independence states:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness".

Saturday evening I had a side job as a pyrotechnician for a wedding reception.
Spent most of the afternoon preparing the charges... getting all the timing worked out and the devices set in sequence of their discharge.
@ 9:25 Pm sharp... after the boquet and garder toss... the show started... 10 minutes later it was complete. the crowd applauded, happy with
event... and then turned and walked away.

I stood there in the middle of that field and said to my wife (Missi)... we have forgotten what this day is all about.
Nobody remembers or accounts for hundreds of thousands lives that were given for the ability to celebrate our independance.
I mentioned to her... I would have rather had a PA system and read the declaration of independance so that for a brief moment those
hundreds of people on the hill side, could stop for just a moment and reflect on the fact that because of the day we are supposed to
be celebrating, they have the freedom to erect a huge canopy in their yard, and be able to play the music they chose free from governing
bodies dictating it.

I looked to skies in the horizon and saw the countless ignitions of arial barrages.... and wondered... were any of them in honor of what
this day was really about...

I am glad to see that I was not the only one troubled by this gleaming fact this weekend.

THE FREE MASONS ARE A SECREAT ORGANIZATION THAT LIVE WITH IN OUR GOVERMENT THEY ARE THE ONES WHO ALOT BELIEVE CONTROL OUR GOVERMENT AND THEY HAVE PROVED THAT OUR FOUNDING FATHER WHERE MEMBERS OF THIS SECREAT ORGANIZATION. IT HAS A LOT TO DO WITH OUR MONEY THEY BELIEVE THAT THEY CAN MAKE WORLD ORDER THEW MASS CAOUS OR WAR.

IF YOU WATCH THE MOVIE I PUT ON HERE A LITTLE WHILE AGO IT WILL EXPLIAN ALOT ABOUT OUR GOVERMENT AND THE SYSTEM AT WITCH WE USE TO CREAT MONEY.

FOR EXSAMPLE GEORGE BUSH WAS A FREE MASON AND WAS EVEN SWARN INTO OFFICE ON THE FREE MASON BIBLE OR BOOK. WITCH IS A DIFFERENT BOOK THAT THE CHRISTIANS BIBLE.

THE MASONS ARE BELIEVED TO BE THE REAL CONTROLERS OF GOVEREMENT THEY ARE SEEN AS THE ALL SEEING EYE AT THE TOP OF THE PERIMIDE ON OUR DOLLAR BILL

The free masons do not control our government but there are alot of them that get elected due to their values. A free mason does not try to control everything by war and caos but will not back down either. A free mason will try to help anyone out at any time if that person needs help, now with that being said they will also stand up and tell you to get off you butt and do it yourself if you can. A free mason will give more money to needy causes (if he is able) then the majority of the population.

Have you ever heard of the Shriners Children Hospital and if you have then you know that it is all based on donations and if you know a Shriner then you know a free mason because if you want to be a Shriner you must become a free mason first. The free masons is not a secret organization, they are an organization of men that have a common value system that believes in GOD.
Yes many of our founding fathers were free masons and you can see what type of men they were and what they did to secure OUR freedoms.

Dont pop off on a group of people that you know very little about.

Another person that was sworn into office on a King James Bible was George Washington, just because it had a masonic image of the front does not mean it is any different then any other King James Bible. This should tell you what type of men belong to this organization.

Old Blood is right!
The Freemasons are not a secret organization at all, they are a organization with secrets!
If they were secret you could not read about them in the encyclopedia. Masonry is a Faternity of brothers, who are commited to the welfare of each other and community service.
Believe me they are not the problem in this nation, I would be more worried about the Harvard Faternity :nod:
Just because a Bible has something printed on the outside, doesn't mean the inside is differnet!
My son has a Bible with the cover made of Pigskin and has NFL printed on it. Of course the NFL stands for New Found Life :!:
