The person with the best BS gets the credit, the question is who GETS the credit not who DESERVES the credit. I think they all play a factor. If you took any line and bred as often as you could and trialed all u could and had the NAME as equal with each bloodline I think you would finish with the same results.

every one is intitled to thare opinion . thare is no rong or right hear call it what you want but technicality when you take your dogs out your training them.witch is making them bettar.a good trainer should be accounted for.and if a breeder told me that buy this pup and all you got to do is drive it to a thicket and let it out and it well be a ifc ill lmfao first thang a dog trained like that would do is not pack up just a guess and then track deer just a guess then you will take it to a trial what kind of trial you would take it to who would no because you were at your truck drinking beer and they will say tallyho and your dog will say tally what and then when they say handle your dog good luck my friend just my opinion dont mean its right not taking it to heart and i still like almost all beaglers and i love my pack  and to all those great trainers my hats off to you its a lot of work and you should be proud.

You did a great job of training to cause HER to attain that degree, now, just use the same tactics to train your dogs!

Tell the Mrs. I said that!

Congratulations to both of you!!! What an accomplishment.

This Poll is kinda flawed.
Who determines the pedigree? The Breeder.
Who is the Trainer? Most of the time it is the owner.

now hold on a minute ! we went from great to an IFC ! if your asking who gets credit for a dog becoming an IFC , thays easy ! that is whoever packs the dog up and spends endless hours and endless amouts of money traveling to every possible trial they can find , and then when they get there , find out who is judging , and sweet talk them and butter them up if there not already your buddy ! now before anyone starts , there are alot of IFC out there deserving , but alot are also that because they were ran in ALOT more trials than others , or they were ran in trials and judged by owners buddies ! to me there is a big difference between a GREAT dog and an IFC !ill bet the majority of great dogs are never trialed ! and i dont sit on the tailgate and drink beer , i go with my dog , i even kick brush for them , but that dont make me a trainer !

deadeye , i know it wasnt , didnt mean any disrepect toward you either , just adding fuel to the fire , so to speek , and its all in good fun and debate ! ive been on these sites for a long time now and it just seems to me that most make more out of this beagling thing than it really is , the reason i do it is because its so simple ! get a pup , take him out to an area with lots of bunnies and let him do his thing , he will figure it out on his own ! if he becomes great , thats awsome , if hes just average , thats just as awsome ! but at the end of the day when the hunting party is standing at the truck when i load , ill bet i dont get one pat on the head , but i bet the dogs will get a few ! im done here until i get a great one , then ill be back !

You have some interesting points... However, Bush suffered having to deal with his fair share of problems as well 911 and Katrina just to name 2. Keep in mind our economy wasn't set up for failure by Bush, the dem controlled congress and senate passed and pushed many of special interests projects that have set us up for failure. Now thoses same dems have completely unbridled control.

Do you think cap and trade and gov health care are the answers? Personally, i believe they'll only prolong the suffering of our economic situation. Thats really their goal. They want you standing there with your hand out looking for free ride. Sure they'll give you this and that in trade for your vote but really want do you have in the long run. You are completely dependent upon them. They basically cripple your will to go and do for yourself.

This country has been off course for alot longer then any of the last few presidents. Its time we start looking at whats really wrong and all the injustices that are being force feed down our throats right now.... You can't spend your way out of debt. We are simply killing any value the dollar has left.

I have to go with owner/trainer on this one. sure the breeder/pedigree has to do with it, but I have some pups here I have had since 6 weeks old. I would like to thank in 3 years if they make GOOD dogs or even finish to FC (if lucky) that I would get the biggest part of the credit for making the dog. Sure the breeder would be happy and proud to say "I made that cross" but I dont think they could say I deserve the credit for finishing that hound as a good gundog or trail hound either one. I know if I raised a litter, gave pups to friends or even sold to strangers for that matter, and they finish out that hound I could not honestly say I made that dog what it is today. I could say I gave a good start and backbone with a solid cross, but the guy who put the shoeleather on them gets the credit in my book.
