Thanks Anthony, I know the caffeine irritates the problem but I can't hardly stay awake without it. I love chocolate peanuts also and they give me fits. Was it Merle who sang the song, "Every thing I love is kill'n me"...
I just hate to get stuck on taking any kind of pills... :(

Thanks fellow Beaglers
Some of us have been on here for many years. Lots has happened to us all in that time, but, we keep on running dogs in our minds when we have to, At quiet places in solitude when we can. We all love to hear a good dog.

My son Gavin bred my nice female Rocket out of Skyview Cliff to a real good grade dog and had 3 female pups that are now 14 months and running good. They sure are nice. It's great to sit on a hill, and listen to them running with their momma. The big Canecutters hitting the water still throws them, but they swim level and smoothly so they'll learn soon enough.

Chuck Terry, try EMU OIL for the arthritis it works

Joseph Murphy, still have 1955 AKC papers in my name in front of me. Waiting to go to town so I can get papers that big copied to send to you. Envelope all addressed and stamped Grant's Line Chief Jabo, what does that name tell you about his Big Time Champion Breeding and style of running done with AKC trialing dogs back then???

Riverbottom
Here you go, trying to get me in trouble AGAIN. I had to lie to get out of it last time! I see that devil at the end of your post! Folks don't really want to hear of dogs with now mystical names. Let the legends live on and dreams continue. WHY NOT!!!

Elliot:
Mr John was a youngster when the earth was formed.I dont know anything about how much Mt Zion Pete are in his dogs but I can tell you that he has nice hounds that can flat carry the mail. The last I knew he owned Vests Lacy which is probably one of the best track dogs I have ever seen run.He also had a New City bred bitch that was hell on wheels. He likes to invite folks down to run but you better have your hounds on their A game because his will be.I have only been down once but enjoyed that outing as much as anything I have ever done.

Mr John:
I appreciate the pedigree and look foward to getting it.When I was down there last you mentioned one of your hounds that I liked going back to a dog called Renegade. Is that the New city Screamin Renegade dog? I look forward to us getting together for another run soon.

Yes, she is out of him. Bred her to Skyview Cliff, but didn't take. You will like "ol Rocket. Hope you will come down this fall or winter. You have what it takes too,no one should sell yours short or you'll whip em.

Joseph

Thank you for the framed one you sent me. It is on the wall.

Sorry for the LONG delay. It came back form the original address I sent it to. Your nephew was kind enough to give me the right one.

I too like to look at the old pedigrees and used to have a lot of them. Interestingly there was a comment on another list of dog folks commenting on the subject of cutting dogs that mentioned one old dog we remember well, Grays Linesman. My how close he was (1 generation) on my old pedigrees and was of the Yellow Creek line that never got the real deserved recognition they were due. I had a lot of thet blood many years ago.
At the separation of thinking, I went the Pleasant Run Banker and then Pleasant Run Postman route. They were faster!!!! They were from the time AKC wanted dogs to walk a line. So many beaglers today that look at the famous names on their pedigrees would be amazed at how they walked a track. That's why many of the names reflect the close LINE following. My how things have changed in the various trials of AKC.

Wish you were closer as I would love to sit on the porch, drink sweet tea and talk old time dogs with you, both AKC and "cold blooded"! Not many of us left that actually saw those old dogs and lines do their thing.

Do you remember the RedHeart Dog food on the back of old papers? Came from Ottumwa, Iowa. Wonder if it is still around?
