1st try at new website

Thought I'd give this a try since it's a free hosting site. Hopefully, I didn't screw it up. Here's the address:

i also enjoyed your little bit of history. i had some real good grade
dogs also. but !!! i can't believe you think all dogs have faults. i see
perfect dogs listed on these boards all the time, ask the seller. lol

Emerson's Dolly, unfortunately I don't know much about that hound. Boomer has very good conformation, good mouth, is what I would call medium speed(doesn't overrun much), hunts good, and has a pretty decent nose on him. He can also solo a rabbit about as good as any I've seen. I thought he might offset my female's weaknesses (conformation & nose) so I bought him thinking I might use him as an outcross. I haven't decided for sure yet. Don't know a whole lot about the Gunsmoke dogs other than what we've all heard.

Dale,
You have a very nice looking website there. Did you just upgrade from the free package? Which package did you buy? I'd like to upgrade so that I can add a lot more pictures like you have.

Nice website Back40, Is that Free?
How far from Rushville are you? I've been to Rushville before. I would love to come down and see your place. Is there many acreage for sale down that way?
I live in Shorewood (by Joliet).
Do you start your own dogs?

Yes, it's a free website. The free starter package only allows 5 pages and 10 photos, so you can't put a whole lot of content on it to begin with but they're hoping that you will upgrade to a better package for a fee. I'm thinking about doing that so that I can add a lot more photos.

I'm only about 20 minutes from Rushville and yes, there's usually land for sale around here but the price has really shot up in the past few years. Deer hunting has become big business down here and a lot of land has been bought up by people from the larger cities. Come on down, if you're patient and keep looking, you can still find a fair deal every now and then.

Yes, I start my own. I don't have a starting pen but I don't really need one now that my place is all grown up in weeds and brush. There's so many rabbits around here now, sometimes I think they come up to the kennel at night on purpose just to tease the dogs. Dick Powell has a starting pen just the other side of Rushville too.

Hi Chad, nice to hear from you again. It was nice running with you that day, even though the conditions were pretty tough. Not sure if I'm going to be over that way again anytime soon, but I look forward to getting together again to run dogs. If you can make it over here sometime, give me a call (309) 329-2261. If not, we're definately going to have to get together this coming hunting season.
Take Care,
Wes
