way back when.

Has buddy judging got worse over the past ten years or has it stayed the same over the period of time given? I'm new to the trial circuit so I cannot comment.

Just your personal opinion.

It don't have to get out of hand, I just want your opinion.

I would like for these guys and gals that really hit these trials to put their two cents in. Not asking to point fingers or name the clubs that they got screwed out of a winners placement, just want to hear their opinions.

I personally think that the buddy judging has gone away in the Mid West Gun Dog association. But just like Ron Conroe, I think that the emphesis on speed has gotten out of control. Still too many times the dog with a lot of animated flash and speed is the only dog that catches the judges eye. Unfortunately that is poor judging and sometimes it's concieved as buddy judging. I think there is more of that then buddy judging. Don't get me wrong, all judges will make a mistake or miss something along the way, but the good ones will consistantly put together a great winners pack. The winners pack will always be the testament to the quality of a judge or judges.
Once upon a time, a man asked a girl " Will you marry me?" The girl said " NO." and the guy lived happily ever after and ran his dogs as much as he wanted to.
