Can someone please explain this to me...
Since its a FACT that 85% of the people in the US already have healthcare coverage that naturally leaves 15% without healthcare coverage...
IF only 15% of the people need healthcare coverage, why does the ENTIRE thing need REFORM????
Tony
Oh yeah, btw...unemployment is at around 10-12% nationally...IF they were to become employed and got insurance from their jobs, wouldn't that LOWER the 15% without healthcare coverage by a significant margin?
Can anyone here (Rufus notwithstanding) agree that this so called healthcare reform is nothing more than a knee jerk power grab by a narcissistic megolamaniac who is in way over his head???

The 1st amendment allows the usual liberal narcissistic "I think.." which is how they start all their sentences.
The second amendment protects us from implementing "I think"

Re: Someone Explain This About Healthcare Reform
I should have noted that there IS an answer....just wanted to see what others thought that answer might be.
I have another good one for you too...TODAY a Republican Congressman TRIED to introduce legislation but it was shot down by the Demcrats. Here's the deal...this so called healthcare reform bill that was shoved down our collective throats SAYS it will NOT increase taxes on the middle class of America.
Sounds good, right?
Well, today a congressman TRIED to introduce legislation that says in a nutshell "The government will NOT increase taxes on the middle class as a result of the healhcare reform legislation". The Democrats shot it down without consideration...riddle me this then. IF the bill promises NOT to raise taxes on the middle class, why would they REFUSE to pass a bill BINDING them to their promise?? Thats all his bill would have done, ensure that there was legislation to protect the hard working middle class of the US. Once again the Democrats REFUSE to be held to their word.
What a shock though, huh????

Bluegrass you are exactly right if you go far enough back in my posts I said this 6 months ago that if there was employment, insurance would NOT be a major problem. EMPLOYMENT OR THE LACK OF IS THE REAL PROBLEM.

If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered
Re: Someone Explain This About Healthcare Reform
I just saw a discussion on CNN, the official network of liberals, that under Obama Care, those hated Insurance Companies would still be able to raise rates. Hmmm? Now we know why their stocks shot up when the bill was signed. Buy it or go to jail is a pretty strong incentive. I guess the Insurance companies slipped a few million into the Dems swiss bank account and all the animosity disappeared.
