Ok...Im not really thrilled with Steele running things anyway, but consider this....
1. Steele isnt PRESIDENT
2. Steele doesnt implement POLICY
3. Steele hasn't spent this country into oblivion.
4. Steele isnt PRESIDENT (just in case you missed it the first time)
Other than those things, I suppose your case is relevant. Just not sure how this exonerates Obama, but if it makes you feel better to trash him, go ahead. He isnt elected, has no influence on government spending, government waste and the like...its still just an attempt to say that what Obama does is OK since a Republican does bad things too....waaaaaaaa
At the very least you posted a LINK to your source, gotta give you credit for that...something Dufus RARELY does.

Good one old blood and yes it shows exactly what I said in a previous post which is both parties have their faults. Now the only problem with your post is I read the whole article and I could have missed it but I did not see CONSERVATIVE no where in that article.

Re: two faces of conservatives
Rabbithoundjb, I put this up here just for you because when you bring up a topic you always say Democruds or libertards or someother BS bringing up an entire party and not just the people that are involved. I am not against the conservatives nor am I for the liberails. I look at the entire picture and see what is best for this country.

Tony the only reason that I posted this is because it shows that "individuals" within a party are just as bad as "individuals" in the other party. You know that I ment no disrespect to you or anyone of the Republican Party, just tired of being lumped in with the rest.

My bad rabbithoundjb, I got you and TommyG mixed up. It was just when I read about not talking about anybody else on that topic; it just got to me. I guess you could say that I shot that rabbit on the jump and did not let the hounds circle.

==After the Underwear Bomber, Republicans Have Shown Their True Color: Weakness
Remember when Republicans portrayed themselves as tough guys? The party of John Wayne? Hard to picture now, right? Ever since an Islamic fundamentalist tried to blow up a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit, Republicans have, as Steve Benen eloquently put it, engaged in a "collective display of pants-wetting."
The naked politicization of the attempted attack has been both shameful and hypocritical. (Can you imagine what these same Republicans, from Dick Cheney to members of Congress, would have done if Democrats criticized George W. Bush and sent out fund-raising mailers after 9/11?) As angry as the GOP response should make any American, what is even more important is that the Republicans are making us less safe.

Re: two faces of conservatives
Now this is something I also found to be of interest
Since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, politicians and the courts have wrangled with the thorny question of how to treat suspected terrorists. The Supreme Court has not weighed in on whether the government has the right to hold a civilian as a military prisoner, and both times it appeared the court would get the chance to decide, President George W. Bush opted instead to bring the cases in civilian criminal courts
George Bush was hard on terror; he, Dick Cheney and those like them are the only ones who can keep us safe. President Obama, following their plan makes us look weak to our enemies though and thus makes us more vulnerable to attacks. How does that work?
The fact is we have a 100% success rate in trying terrorists in civilian court and as far as I know the only ones walking around and back to their old tricks, are walking around because Dick Cheney released them! We’ve killed or captured more terrorist leaders under Obama’s 1st year than we did in the last year of Bush. We’ve had more ‘drone-launched missile strikes’ in President Obama’s 1st year than in Bush’s last 3 years. We are spending more money to “expand secretive Special Operations units, deploy more unmanned aerial drones” , but somehow it’s not good enough because President OBama doesn’t torture, because he doesn’t throw everyone into a military tribunal, because he treats people as the laws this country was founded on tell him to treat people, so he is still weak on terrorism. If anything, the increased drones attacks, increased terrorist casualties, successful interrogation of a terrorist should prove that not only is he not weak on terrorism, but that he’s doing something pretty right.

Re: two faces of conservatives
Let's talk about the 1st part of your post, why is Obama precieved weaker than Bush.
1st Bush hasn't bowed to every low life rogue that don't like us.
2nd Bush did not defend our enimies against our allies.
3rd Bush realized snuggling up to these dictators is a waste of time.
Now the 2nd part of your post, I happen to think the surge in afganistan is the right thing to do, using drones again fine with me, going into other places pakistan, lemen and so on again fine with me as long we are after the enemy. I agreed with Bush on the wars and so far Obama is doing fine by me on the wars, except for trying them on U.S. SOIL which I disagree with no matter who the president is, our laws have too many loopholes and shady lawyers and they should NOT be granted the same rights as an american citizen because quiet simply they are NOT.

Re: two faces of conservatives
Old Blood I said it before I don't care what you think about me.Thats what I think of Democrats, and some Republicans.Just think you're getting the CHANGE that the DEMOCRATS wanted ENJOY!!! Guess you can come up with a argument on why Conservatives are so horrible but in the end even DEMOCRATS know who is bring the Country down-SOCIALIST LIBERALS.We seen when the HC vote took place how many Moderate Democrats there were, even the ones that claimed to be moderate and said they stood for life voted to kill babies-Never seen 1 Republican vote for that we'll pay for you to kill your child BILL.The EX.ORDER Obama signed can be resended anytime and it will be for votes,WATCH. Now if you can't understand my anger for the Government controlling my health care then thats your problem, answer this if this Bill is so good then why did Congress their staffs the President and certain other elites exempt themselves from it?The righting is on the wall, what the Republicans was telling us was true if you took time to research it and we are in for sad times like we have never seen under this Administration,Except for the non contributors out there, free anything will buy there vote, and they love it someone else has to foot the bill.Sorry to tell you free health care is not a right, just ask the doctors that have a half million in their education, they have bills also, blame the people who live to sue for that all important free money.Sad shape the worlds in when people don't want to earn what they get, just think they are teaching our children the same.SORRY I HIJACKED THIS THREAD BUT YOU MENTIONED MY NAME SO I RETORTED.old blood beagles wrote:My bad rabbithoundjb, I got you and TommyG mixed up. Re: two faces of conservatives
TommyG once again you get on this board and change the subject. This was a topic about the two faced Republicans and not about health care or any other bill. I put your name on here because all you do is bad mouth Dems and I have had enough of it. Some of us Dems are not the bad Liberal individuals that you make us out to be, but if you want to talk about Socialist views; give me one, just one, program that the government runs or controls that does not fit under a socialist view.
You cant, because every program by the government is a socialist view because they take money "tax dollars" from people like me that pays taxes and provide a service to the entire country even too the individuals that dont pay taxes. Now you have to ask the question "do you support Republican Socialist views or do you support Dems socialist views?"

Don't challange me by naming my name and I'll be more than glad to stay off your posts. No all Dems aren't LIberals but all LIBERALS vote 99.9%Democrat.In my views if you vote for someone who supports abortion you are as guilty as they are.ALL GOV. entitlements are Socialist. Thanks for making the point. Now show me a successful entitlement, you can't because there are none all are bankrupt,or won't be solventold blood beagles wrote:TommyG once again you get on this board and change the subject. for long. Now one 6th of the econ.belongs to the Government.I don't support any Socialist views the lesser of 2 evils is what got us to the point of electing a Socialist President. You may want to take the spotlight off the Socialists by having a post like this one but I think you'll see that Conservatives aren't going to be silent anymore.Say what you want but if the US gets back to the Greatness it once had it will be Conservatives that get her there!
