A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)
Well If I had to pick one to keep for myself it would have to be Ol Blue. But He is going to my friends that live up the road. They are taking 4 of them so I'll atleast get to see them and also help train them and hunt with them. I can not keep anymore dogs and it stinks!! I got a full house already. I'm still pounding the guts out of my Trails Pup - Thunder So I have to focus on him.
I have One Male Pup that isn't spoken for yet. If I can't sell him then I'll keep him start him then sell him just before gun-season as a green started pup. Might make for a fun project. Hopefully he'll go to a good hunting home.

I figured old blue was a keeper for sure, but i know it's easy to get overloaded

I've already got 5 to feed clean up after and run. Plus anything else that comes up with them. A person has to limit theirselves. 5 is my limit. But its so hard not to sneak one in the kennel think that's how people end up with over 10 dogs and counting......lol
that little one called Little Lucy she is the smallest of them all. But the one that likes to wrestle and beat up on her littermates she's a little fighter.
And the big brown headed female with the clean white legs she is also a keeper. She is going to be a big ol female and a pretty one at that!
I can't wait to help start these pups. My goals are set already. By 4 months old I'll have them females running. By 5 to 5.5 months old I'll have ol blue and walrus running. we'll see....lol

This one is April. Very friendly pup she is all over you soon as you open the kennel door. She likes lots of attention. I wanted to post a picture of her cause she looks like a show dog. Very nice legs on her too. Big paws and nice ears. I think she is one of the prettiest pups. She has a nice big head with a square mouth.
This one here is a female that I have not named. She is going to a rabbit hunter south of me. She will have a good home.

Joey, conformation has always topped my list of great qualities.Straight front legs have always been throwed by junie, maybe there tails maybe a little long but thats the least of my worries.Matt enjoy ur pups as much as i have over the years.Should be a nice cross.
When the moment of truth arrives, the point of preparation has passed.

Matt no doubt about it you will have some power hounds on your hands. These two brothers should make a rabbit sh*t himself when it sees them a coming!! These two are the brutes of the litter. At first the walrus which BTW is now named Tracking Bandit he was the bigger of them all now he is about the same size as the others. Have fun with them matt. Just keep working them and you'll have some nice rabbit dogs with a tailgate full at the end of the day. I am really hoping they will retrieve for you. Leah retrieves all the time and Junie retrieves aswell so the odds are in our favor.
edrabbit sorry all pups are taken.

How big is the sire they look like their going to big dogs just by judgeing them compared to others ive seen that age they are very healthy thats for sure
Jimmie would know the offical measurement on the sire. I believe he is a 15" male. He is a AKC FC so I'm sure he has been measured out officially . He was taller than leah when I saw him in person. I've never had leah measured I'd guess right at 14"
One female the one named April she is going to be a big female the other two females are smaller. Lucy being the smallest. April is as big as the males.
All the males are on the bigger side.
Heres the thing. I've had leah on Royal Canin puppy chow since before she had them. and she's been on it ever since and now the pups are on it. Cost me $50 for 15lbs. As you can see the pups are fat slick and healthy looking. Worth the money I'd say yes. Call me crazy for spending that much but that is how I went about it.
We made some horses some kentucky bred horses thats for sure
Matt this pup has almost the same markings as his Poppa
