Crossbow (2-4-D) is the best thing I have ever used. I mix it 1 ounce to the gallon of water. It will wilt the leaves in less than a day and will not kill grass. Keep following up. As long as there are roots in the ground it will keep popping up. After 10 years living here we still have a little to pop up, but it is under control. My wife gets it easily as well.
Where's the earth shattering kaboom ?

If you are alergic to it the NEVER burn it. Man that can kill you! I always cut the big run stalks at an angle and just let the rest die. Never disapears but it will slow it to a crawl for a season.
