PHOENIX – The U.S. Justice Department is filing a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Arizona's tough new law targeting illegal immigrants.

The planned lawsuit was confirmed to The Associated Press by a Justice Department official with knowledge of the plans. The official didn't want to be identified before a public announcement planned for later Tuesday.

The lawsuit will argue that Arizona's new measure requiring state and local police to question and possibly arrest illegal immigrants during the enforcement of other laws, like traffic stops, usurps federal authority.

Tuesday's action has been expected for weeks. President Barack Obama has called the state law misguided. Supporters say it is a reasonable reaction to federal inaction on immigration.

This is the most unbelievable thing this child has done!!! There is ONLY ONE REASON the liberals WANT illegals in this country!!!! VOTES!!!!! This is an attempt by the most immature weakling to ever sit in the office of Presidency to break the law to get votes so his party can stay in power!!!! He is a COWARD to not stand up and admit it. That didn't include Alaska or Hawaii either. So he was basically saying there were 54 States. You're right though, he may end up suing the wrong state or even an imaginary one.

To be fair to Obama though, he is not much different than your average American in knowing the states. I used to be a trainer in a company that required everyone to go through basic geography training so they would know where the states were. Those who could take a blank map of the U.S. and fill in the states names were less than 5%. Although about 80% of them could tell you how many states there were. After 2 hours of training 93% would pass the test.

One caveat, they weren't running to be the President of those united states. He should have taken the 2 hours to learn ALL the states, or at least the 10 seconds to ask one of his many radical friends, how many states are we trying to destroy?


Here's another thing that is really ignorant about this child. He claims that local authorities cannot enforce immigration laws because they are federal laws.
