You know,... this has always been my favourite place to come and talk beagles and express our ideas, but as times have deteriorated, so have the kindred friendship and respect we've all had and shown for each other.
Personal attacks and gang mentality were never tolerated before and we all could agree to disagree with out the blatant rudeness and name calling.
It's no longer a place to come for enjoyment but rather an embarrassment to read and Lord only knows what visitors from other places think of us.
So I leave you among yourselves to look in the mirror as I have done and try to regain some respect and decency for one another while working through our problems.

I never saw a pack look good at a check, only foolish.
Panic promote mayhem and confusion, at these times we look for the wisdom and levelheadedness of the experienced hounds to remain calm and work with a sense of urgency to unravel the line and set the pack right again.
Should we take our own advice or do we liken ourselves to the type we despise?

I wish you all the best of luck...

Why do I have this mental image of the scene in Monthy Python's The Holy Grail: "Charge, charge!" (giant rolling boulder appears) "Retreat, retreat!" All of a sudden free speech and uncensored discussion doesn't work for you anymore, Patch? That used to be your biggest beef with me.

They are still talking beagles and exchanging ideas in ALL of the other forums. Nobody's forcing anyone to chime in on this forum. After so many years and elections gone by while operating a message board, I've learned that people are not limited to beagles; they simply need to speak their minds about the all of world in which they live. They come here to chat with fellow beaglers, and somehow other topics always bleed through. It seems the perfect place to talk about other things. There's a prayer forum. There's a Guns and Ammunition forum. There's even one for sharing jokes. When a beagler has a few minutes to surf the web, this is where they come. It's a one-stop shop for many, and it is by FAR the busiest beagle board on the net, getting around 1,000 hits per day.

But, I digress. I created this forum so the heated discussions of politics (and predictably heated it always is) didn't permeate the other forums. A person only has to visit this forum once or twice to know that it's a different animal than the rest of the board. It's a shark tank, and emotions run high here. If you're a fighter at heart, the teeth won't bother you. But, my disclaimer to anyone in this forum is "If you don't like being bitten, then don't put your hand in the shark tank."

Extreme profanity is still forbidden. I would have to password protect the forum from anyone I know wasn't of age to allow all language.

Why do I get the mental image of Dick Cheney on a bird hunt... bird...boom!!! blast it all !!!

Free speech and "uncensored opinion" has always worked for me. It was always the selective editing to change intent that burred my saddle. Surely you remember that?

Kick on... Glen Beck is having the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on tonight...I'm so looking forward to it... ;)

NOW IT SEEM'S THAT NOT ONLY DO, REPUBLICAN'S IN WASHINGTON,HATE THE ELDERLY,THE POOR THE SICK AND CHILDREN THAT ARE BORN WITH A DISEASE,NOW THEY HAVE ADDED THE UNEMPLOYED TO THE LIST.A LONG WITH SURBURBAN ,FORMERLY, MIDDLE CLASS WHITE'S,TO THEIR LIST OF PEOPLE TO TARGET,
-
Dean Heller has a word to describe the 13.6% of Michiganders and 9.5% of Americans who are jobless in this Great Recession: Hobos. Heller, a Republican congressman from Nevada, was before a recent Republican gathering and spoke on the subject of people who are receiving unemployment benefits: “Is the government now creating hobos?” Heller said.

If you’re Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett, unemployment can be explained away by laziness. “The jobs are there. But if we keep extending unemployment, people are just going to sit there," Republican Corbett said, ignoring the fact that even minimum wage jobs are in short supply.

Echoing that nonsense, Arizona Republican Sen. Jon Kyl claimed unemployment benefits are "a disincentive for them to seek new work." (Note to the unemployed: According to Republicans, you’re no longer one of us, you’re a “them.”)

Nevada Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle calls those who are receiving unemployment benefits “spoiled,” while Utah Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch thinks anyone drawing unemployment should be subjected to drug testing. Yeah, you must be high if you can’t find work in this booming economy.

Republicans have come a long way since the days when then-President Ronald Reagan stereotyped minorities receiving federal assistance as welfare queens who drive Cadillacs to pick up their government checks. As the current recession continues to claim jobs, Republicans have been forced to vilify a whole demographic -- suburban, formerly middle-class whites.

The avowed concern of Republicans is that expending unemployment benefits would balloon the deficit. Never mind that their two main legislative priorities -- extending tax cuts for the rich, and ending the inheritance tax for the wealthy -- would create a geyser of red ink.

I’m guessing that the unemployed who are being labeled as “hobos” and “spoiled” have a few terms to describe Republicans.

-AS LONG AS THERE ARE, REPUBLICAN'S LIKE MCCAIN.BOEHNER ,BAUCHMAN,KORBIT KYL,MCCONNEL, IN WASHINGTON.---THE TERRORIST HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR,AMERICAN'S ARE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THESE GUY'S.

-THEY HAVE NEVER BALANCED A BUDGET IN THEIR HISTORY.THEY ARE ONLY THERE TO MAKE SURE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT WORK.FOR THE PEOPLE .

Republican Mismanagement of the Budget
After the House voted on the omnibus appropriations bill, careful scrutiny of the bill uncovered a
deeply objectionable provision — allowing certain Members and staff access to anyone’s tax
return — which Congress will now have to remove. Because Republicans were almost two
months behind schedule in approving nine appropriations bills, they had rushed the omnibus bill
to the floor on a Saturday afternoon for a same-day vote, putting aside the House rule that
requires a three-day review period before voting on conference reports. Republicans also were
forced to impose an across-the-board cut of 0.8 percent on all programs in the bill, including
high-priority services supported by the Administration and Congress, to stay under the spending
limit they had set earlier this year.
Republican mismanagement this year has involved
not just the appropriations process but the entire
budget process. For the first time in history,
Republicans failed to approve a budget resolution
when the same party controls both houses of
Congress and the White House. They also failed to
reinstate the budget enforcement mechanisms —
discretionary spending caps and the pay-as-you-go
(PAYGO) system for tax cuts and mandatory
spending — that were instrumental in making the
budget progress work in the 1990s. Meanwhile,
rising Republican deficits forced the third debt
ceiling increase in three years. But Congressional
Republicans chose not to address the debt ceiling in a timely fashion, resulting in the
postponement of a scheduled auction of Treasury securities, as well as the suspension of
investment of civil service retirement funds.

So PMB does that mean it was O.K. for Bush to cut taxes without paying for it because that put money right back in the working peoples hands, how about reducing drug prices for seniors without paying for it. You can't have it both ways if it was wrong for Bush not to pay as he went, it is still wrong now you hippocrit. It is a disgrace that Obama is doing such a $hitty job that all you can bring to the discussion is the same republican this, republican that BULL$HIT. PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
