Line-Bred Sock-It-To-Me Stud?

Post by DarrinG »

I am searching for a well rounded, line-bred IFC Taylor's Sock It To Me stud hound, the closer up the Sock It To Me, the better! It may be awhile before I make a cross, but want to be finding some info while available.

Thanks in advance to anyone with info! :D

Bobby Rose in Kentucky has a lot of sock it to me blood, you may want to check with him. You can also look on the MWGA website I think there is an add there for sock it to me breeding.

Man that is news to me. I hadn't talked to Bobby in about 6 or 7 months. I had corresponded with him via email several times.

Blue Banks Pleaser is in ky . Go to Midwest site and look at stud ads. Pleaser is a super looking hound.

Yes I have already scoped out the ad on the Mid-West site and looked at his pedigree. Pleaser is a fine looking hound and I will probably be contacting his owner in the future to talk a little. Has anyone seen this dog run? :?: I have no immediate plans to make a breeding yet, just tracking down some options in case I decide to in the future. I have a line-bred Sock-It-To-Me female and if I decide to breed her in the future, I'll probably want to line-breed her.

Kim, when I was over in Crossville, that is what James was telling me..that Bobby had quit the beagles and now was coon-hounding. :(

Yes bobby rose is not raising beagles anymore. He was in partners with donnie campbell in berea. You'll find all the sock it too me blood you want there. donnie was one of the first to bring that bloodline into kentucky. by the way, how is your bitch breed?

Darrin,
I too like the Sock It Tome line of hounds and find it mixes really well with the Branko line. But if you are wanting some line bred stuff get in contact with Terry Tapley. Here is his website and he can tell you anything you want to know about the stuff. His website is http://www.journeysendkennels.com His phone is 859-619-5515.

Thanks Kane. Woody must be a fine hound, but I'd really prefer a line-bred Sock-It-To-Me stud. I researched his pedigree and he seems to be mostly Northway breeding with only one cross of Sock-It-To-Me.

Check with Bobby Vest in Kentucky. His Chester dog is mostly Sock It To Me with some Northway. Proven reproducer. My friend Vern just bred two to him.
The sire of Chester is Blue Banks Sweet Singer and its the exact same as the Pleaser dog. They may be litter mates or one of them is out of a later litter of same sire and dam.

Sock it to me hounds

Post by J&J »

I have two line bred sock it to me hounds in my kennel. I have purchased three dogs from Bobby Rose and Donnie Campbell. I just love these dogs, they have plenty of foot and incredible hunt. My male (Goodtimes Superior Skipper) is out of Goodtimes Mountain Rambler and GTs Stylish Rampage. Beautiful hound. My female (Goodtimes Midnight Dancer) is out of New Country Gambler and North Shore Little Brown Jug (Brownie).
