RE : CHECK PATCH PEDIGREE'S

...on the ancestry of your new hound? This is your forum. Post your question and others will fill in the blanks for you. This is also a good forum for asking about particular hounds and bloodlines (past or present) when considering a breeding or purchase, or just breeding questions in general.

Would you guys like this post moved to the Bloodlines forum and stickied to the top so maybe you can keep an inventory of identified dogs that have been affected, and the progress made to correct all the paperwork? I would be happy to do that. It might be a good place for the Patch breeders to check in.

I'm moving this post to the Breeding and Bloodlines category, under the Searching for Information forum. It will be stickied to the top. I will leave a shadow in the Just Talkin' Dawgs forum for a while.

Some clarification for a few concerned folks that has PM'd and called me. From what I can tell on my pedigrees Plowboys Pache Rhonda is not part of this. She is out Leihners Linus Patch and West River Patch Bonnie. There is no Diamond Sadie Sport showing in any of my pedigrees I have with her on it.

Aug.10th,2000
I have pups just born out of male mate to your yates female & my Pennyroyal
casey x Tusseys white lady with slight influence of Barefoot King patch in
background female This is same cross as the female I have that is 18 mos.
Old and I really like her. Only had 1 male & 1 female and I am going to sell
the male who is red & white $100 after first shot if you see anyone
interested.
Oct6th 2000
I have an older bitch out
of Elmos diamond rio who is out of Stupe & Tusseys Lady on top & Plowboy
Pache Frosty out of Daltons big hooter(mate to Stupe) X Elmos Karrie with 1
cross of Barefoot King Patch on bottom. She is a swinging cut throat that in
her day would lead about any pack or bust. She is now 8 & throws excellent
pups. I crossed her with the Yates male that is the mate to your female &
got bitch that can fly or walk that I have told you about before. I also
crossed her with a Indian Hill Major dog a few years back & got a great
bitch too except just a tad to rough.

What is the whelping date on your Rhonda pache hound and West river Bonnie patch?

The pedigree I have shows Rhonda being out of Plowboys Polka Dot Patch sired by Lehners Linus patch , Polka dot being from plowboys Frosty patch, being out of west river patch Bonnie. The whelping dates will stop the confusion on what hound we're talking about, you can't have two hounds with the same names on different whelping dates unless there is a reasonable gap of time that one of the hounds can no longer be living, AKC won't allow it.

If none of these are the same hounds, it seems Rhonda and Frosty were a couple of popular names in someone's pedigrees...

Randy & S.R. Patch, Here's a link to Plowboys Pache Rhonda's ped: http://www.beaglepedigree.com/Pro/pp_li ... ree&gens=5. There's 4 full generations, almost 5 complete. Should be 5 soon. DOB is also there.

Hope this helps.

Gene,
I found a pedigree Elmer McKinney sent me before I got my Belle hound from him. It shows Angels Patch Rambo as being from the same cross as Bonnie.

Do you know what was the whelping date of West River Bonnie patch and this Angels Patch Rambo?

I got this pedigree on Plowboy's Rhonda patch in Aug,2000 and then, it shows the pache Rhonda being born on AKC records in Nov,2000....hummm

West River Patch Bonnie (HM28661401) (I don't believe there was a West River Bonnie Patch AKC Registered) & Angel's Patch Rambo (HD919517) - 02/15/1990 - Westriver Brier Patch Dan x Elmo's Amber. Full siblings! Plowboys Pache Rhonda (HM93302002) - 11/25/2000.

Hope this helps.

Randy, I have had individuals to belittle the Patche pups that I have had for sale altho they were not related to dogs in question. I feel that the issue has been to devalue the hounds that came from one kennel. I do not raise pups for the money I might make , it is not profitable, from now on my excess pups will probably be given away to someone who really wants them. I hold the papers of one hound that could be in question but I have heard nothing from AKC. I never bred her nor sold any of her offspring as she did not meet my standards.

Lowell,
I hope you really don't feel this way. It was not about a person, pure patch or outcrossed patch, but the accuracy & integrity of the pedigree.
I think there are people who know who the real sire is, it's just not weighed on them enough yet to come out with the truth.
I think if swampman didn't really care about these hounds and their heritage, he would have just let it pass. He says he owned the sire on the papers at the time and the mating never occurred.
Sport was a Bredemier hound and it has been proven, they cross well with the patch. They just need to know if it was a hound related to Sport as why he was selected to be put on the papers or what just happened. If they can find the true sire, maybe an affidavit from the witness can straighten out alot of papers.
I don't know, I've wondered if it was a hound related to Sport but maybe not AKC so the used Sport's AKC numbers. I know Swampman says the signature on the litter app. is not his and AKC has compared the sig. to other sigs. of his and they do not match.
Anyway, good luck with your hounds & puppies.
