S.C. NKC trials upcoming 01/08/11 and 01/15/11

Pee Dee beagle club will be holding ARHA Big Pack hunts on 01/08/11 and 01/15/11. Located near Florence in eastern South Carolina. The format will be ARHA/NKC Big Pack style running, 50 to 70 dogs, 4 hours, trophies and certificates will be awarded. Hounds will be scored on hunting, trailing, speed & drive, as well as endurance. A hard hunting dog that can jump a rabbit and likes to be on the front will do well. All beagles are eligible to run as long as they are under 16 inches, whether they are registered or not. A breed inspector will be at the both hunts to inspect anyones hound who needs to be registered with ARHA/NKC. Entriy fee is $10.00 per dog, bring as many as you want. Tracking and training collars are allowed.

Greater Pee Dee beagle club will be have one 11-20-2010 and 12-18-2010(State Hunt).Call Phillip Broach for info on these 843-598-9747.

Mr. Broach put on a good hunt this past saturday with lots of judges to score the dogs. The only problem was the dogs had a tough time keeping the rabbits moving. Any of you guys wanna come down and show us Big Pack boys how to run a rabbit will get another chance on 12-18-10. So don't be shy, contact Phillip Broach to get your numbers. Hope to see you there.

like to thank all those who made the trip from N.C. to come and run with us this past saturday, and hope to see you guys back again this weekend.

We had a good hunt with pretty good running and not much deer this time. The judges really hustled and stayed with the dogs which is extremely hard to do in that briar hole.

WE have another hunt this weekend coming up 1/15/11.

Us North Carolina boys had an awesome time once again. Hate I had to spend all that time running after that pup of mine. Brandon I was supposed to post the results but I have not had a chance to due to a family situation with my buddy that was with me at the hunt. If you all will email me the pics and info ill get it posted tomorrow. Thanks for all the great hospitality once again. We are looking forward to future hunts. Johnny
