Bluegrass, I was wondering if your female came into heat yet and if you decided on a male to breed her to? Looks like it is going to work out that I will be coming through Michigan in October to go to one of the large pack trials and do some hare hunting. Let me know if any females are available and color and price, also when they will be available. Gene gets a lot of red in his hounds and I am not interested in that at all. I hope to get to stop by Gene's and look at his hounds and to talk dogs for a while. Thanks for writing.

My female came in and I took her to a fella that has a son out of Casey, a beautiful red hound with a lot of nose and brains, my female adds tons of speed and desire so if it took, it should make a good cross...The sire owner had her for 2 weeks, never seen them hooked up, but didn't babysit, know what I mean...I'll know in about 3 weeks if she took, she should start swelling by then. I'll post if it looks like she took. If so, the pups would be ready by October...Tony

Houndsman, email me and let me know if you have any Casey hounds or pups I might want to buy or trade for...Looking for a decent bred Casey hound, preferably a double bred female, can be pup or older...I think my Striker female is bred, she seems to be getting bigger, but I won't know for absolute until a couple of weeks yet...May go to the vet next week for a positive test...Thanks, Tony

It appears that this breeding took and my female should give pups the first week in September...If my calculations are correct!!! 2 pups would be spoken for already, but the rest may be for sale...will let anyone know after the litter is here...Tony
