It's not new, I believe it was a full littermate to Dom's Dougie that was bought in the late '70's for big money. As far as running I don't know
Unless your the lead dog the view never changes

Years ago the Japanese came over to buy beagles. At that time, the Patches & the Pearson Creeks were two of the tops. There was a breeder on the East Coast that was offered a buy on every hound he would produce, by crossing the two families.
In some Patch pedigrees, there is a hound from a Patch, crossed on a Pearson Creek Jason, that shows up back in the 6th generations. This was what I figured to be a hound kept from the cross, that proved to be a good one...Patch

The Japanese have been holding hare trials (same as AKC Large Pack) for years now and have invested a LOT of $$$ in buying quality FCs from both the US and Canada. A son of IFC Round Pond Mr T was sold for a large sum and ended up being killed in the Kobay earthquake while in quarantine. A friend of mine turned down $10,000 for FTC Otterbrook Chopper but there were a lot of hounds purchased and incorporated into the gene pool in Japan over the last 30 years.

If the Japanese keep breeding what they like to trial and show, in a few years they will reach in their vest pocket and pull out a matchbox with holes in it and out will jump a full grown Beagle.
Miniaturize a Cottontail too and they can have a trial on the kitchen table.

John, not sure what you mean; I've seen dozens of photos of trial results and they run the same size classes as we do- 13" and 15". Their hare are actually larger than ours.

I KNOW OF SOME SHOW CHAMPIONS BEING SOLD FOR THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS (15 TO 20 ) DEPENDS ON THE BREEDING
THEY LOVE TO SHOW BEAGLES AND ENJOY RUNNING THE FIELD DOGS
