I've had northway breeding since 1994; out of Driver and Ninja. The dogs were as fast as scenting conditions allowed; meaning they could walk the line when conditions were tough and could run swampers down when conditions were good. I live in southeast Louisiana and ran these dogs in 90+ degree weather in July/August with humidity above 80% and these dogs consistently performed, no quit in the ones I had. Really good nose, very tight on the line, with control, very intelligent, tons of stamina, good hunt and handled like a charm. The more running time I put on these dogs the better they performed.

Just my opinion, but I believe the Mt. Zion Pete linebred dogs are as good as it gets.

Now, does this mean the dog you have will be same. Only a lot of patience and many hours in the field will tell.

Good luck.
