Bev wrote:Randy, this is my board so I'm assuming you mean my agenda. Was hiding your name in the first post of this thread helping your agenda? What is your agenda? I dumped that thread because it had deteriorated to the point where it was hurting MY agenda, which is to maintain some resemblence of decency to this board, and keep the complaints coming to my inbox to a minimum. If you follow the Funny Bone forum, you'll see that I often delete jokes that go over the line, too.

I'm not opposed to sensitive subjects, and I allowed the debate go for days. I even participated. If I were worried about any other agenda, it wouldn't have made it past the first post, the first day, but I don't need Mitch and a few others on here going postal, swearing like sailors, getting off-topic, and attacking each other. What kind of agenda does THAT support? Not beagling.

If you will remember, I LOCKED the very first thread on that ARHA PP mess because it was started by anonymous people who looked like they were just trying to stir crap. The only reason I left the second ARHA PP thread was because the people ACTUALLY INVOLVED in the incident came forward, and the other side involved posted as well. NOBODY directly involved in the UKC misconduct incident was even PRESENT in the thread I deleted. It was just a bunch of cussing and finger-pointing, and nothing was coming from it.

NOT that I OWE any of you an explanation as to how I run my board - this place is not owned by stockholders, but I know regardless of that fact, many of you still FEEL your OWED a response to every loose-lipped accusation posted on the board, so there it is.
:D You go Bev!!!
Its all about the dog!

Randy, it is a funny thing how these IP's work. As you can see, you don't happen to share yours with anyone else so there was no guessing to it. Sorry. I don't know why you couldn't have just asked me outright what happened to the post. We don't even have to be good friends for that. You could pick up the phone, too. I don't like being zoomed. I know why you went about it this way.
I wont be debating this any further Bev. For me to make my point I would have to lower myself to a level where I would feel uncomfortable and be jeopardizing more than this is worth to ME........seeing as how I consider you and Ralph friends and this is TAB board. I respect what you folks do and your position in this.
Obviously you don't consider us friends, and you don't respect what we do, or you wouldn't be trying to put me on the spot, or accuse me of having an agenda for this just to get your pound of flesh from ....whomever... That doesn't feel like friendship. I feel like I've been stabbed in the back.
One point I will make. The message board helped a lot in the ARHA mess I was involved in. The good the bad and the downright ugly lies.......they all stayed posted, but this is different.
I'm glad that you see the difference. In the ARHA mess, the players were all present and willing to debate it. It wasn't just a bunch of heresay from people who weren't even involved. This one was purely a bunch of gossip and slander, and it got way out of hand.
End of story. You win!
Funny, it doesn't feel like I won anything. I feel more like I lost something.

I don't know much about these computers but, I know there are people who are smart enough to make them say and do what ever they want.
A long time ago I got set-up over on the SPO board and I can tell you one thing, it wasn't me or my computer making the post that the isp number said it was.
I do believe if a bug can get into your machine and send itself out through your email address, maybe there is a way the bug could rob your computer id, to be sent out phony.
I would have to give some people enough credit to be smart enough to know that they could not give a webmaster trouble by hiding as a guest, if they were a regular poster on the board, using there own computer. This doesn't make sense...Patch

Patch, what happened to you over at espoboard, (that was before I owned it) is that you were on a dynamic IP, or one that changes every time you log on to the internet. Eventually that number is going to end up being reassigned (recycled) to someone else who uses the same internet provider. Then one day it may work its way back to you.

Folks with static IP's are those that never change, i.e. mine is cable service through Comcast, and is what they might call a dedicated IP. It's assigned to my machine, and since I stay logged on constantly, it never changes.

I am getting messages from my ISP (Wal-Mart Connect) saying that my computer has been trojaned and is sending huge amounts of email. THey keep sending me a .mim file as an attachment with instructions how to fix this, but I can't find out how to open the .mim file without buying software. Anyone have anything on this for a computer novice?

Bev,
I want to think you for giving us this wonderful board to visit and exchange idea's over.
If it werent for this board me and Lynn wouldnt be as tight as dried dog crap, and I would have never had D,Ramey to tell me he loves me in public on the internet( which I dont know whether I am proud of or not)
I think you are doing a wonderful job editing and deleteing post.
I just wish everyone wouldnt hide behind the guest name and be proud of what they have to say.
People like the Todd Brown's, Wimafingerdo's, have brought alot of things out in the open for the whole wide world to see.
Sometimes people need to be exsposed, if you think you need to call me up on the carpet let me know before hand so I can clean my boots off.
Thanx again for this wonderful board, for it is one of the last ones that I am allowed to post on. LOL

Where did the other 436 come from?

Anyone remember me posting a few weeks back as a guest to see how it worked? Funny how I have one post as a guest..hmmm ;)

Just a little math.......

I have no dog in this contest, I can say what I want and not fear anything or any judge, or any bans or fines.

Didnt intend to step on your toes but many of you were all excited about jumping down ARHA's throat, now that the shoe is on the other foot you shove it to the side and treat it like taboo :offtopic:

The only fact we have now is that a group of trialers got caught cheating with a few getting in trouble and one not. What gets accomplished when a guy sees someone is banned but dont know why or what for??? Who learns from this??

I have my opinion and you have yours, but this is your house and I will play by your rules.

As I said before Bev, you win.

You all have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Randy, you ever have your cable service interrupted? Probably 54 posts ago. That's where it comes from. The interruption or change of a static IP comes from their end, not yours.

Why don't you pick up the phone and call Todd and ask him how one person doesn't get banned? What's so hard about that? Were you aware that probably 70% of complaints filed are after the event is over? People don't want to be confrontational at the events. You know how that is, you won't even fight for your own dog out in the field when there's a clear rule violation - Ralph had to fight it for you because you didn't want to make any trouble..but you sure don't mind being at the helm of discord here on the computer. Why is that? I'm serious - why do you do that?

This is my last post to you on this. If we discuss it any more it will be by phone, e-mail, or private message. Best to you and yours.

Bev, Nothing is hard about calling Todd....but whats so hard about posting for all to see??? Seems easier to make one post then take 100 calls.

Isnt there some sort of rule against leaving an event knowing that people have placed dogs by cheating??? I dont care if 100% do it....that dont make it right. I would hope them 70% of hunts are thrown out and no dogs get Champion points that may not be deserved or earned

I never found the need in protesting over a dog, my dogs dont know whether they won or not, and it sure didnt make a difference in my life. Sure he finsihed 2nd in a state hunt he should have won, but life goes on. I dont blame a guy for protesting, and I appreciated Ralph trying that .....but its just not for me. Not that big of a deal in my life and I always tried being a good sport.

As for on here.....I aint said a thing that I wont say, or havnt said to anyones face who asks me in person. I dont really see where I have been at the helm all that often, but if you say so. The simple fact is I have no reason to tip toe around. No judges, no registry, no birthday to take away.

I didnt even start this. I was just following it. But go ahead and turn the blame on me....I am an easy target

LOL, back to my hole......

Man, I just backed down from what I said I wouldn't do. Randy, a protest is technically the same thing. You are questioning the action of a judge you feel broke a rule violation. It's to be taken to the Master of Hounds. Same thing. You left that event knowing that hound was placed unethically. The dog was clearly struck in twice. His collar color was yelled out two times. "I'm striking the blue dog." Everyone heard it. No rabbit was produced and when the scores came back and were read, the blue collar dog suddenly wasn't ever struck in, and he took no minus points for it. It cost you the trial, and a dog got champion points that shouldn't have. Same thing. That's why Ralph protested it.

Leaving an event without first reporting misconduct is against the rules, yes, but it's not the same as cheating, and doesn't always deserve barring or discipline. A lot depends on how things went down, and UKC reserves the right to issue the discipline based on the circumstances. We may not always agree with it, but I'd rather see a person who reports misconduct even if it's a few days later, get leniency as opposed to coming down on him when he wasn't the cheater, and his lack of action directly after the cast didn't really change the outcome of anything. The damage had already been done. His reporting it at the trial wouldn't have taken it back. Had he been found willfully protecting them, then yes, I think he should have gotten something, but that's just my opinion.

Please...I don't hold you responsible for the other thread, and we would still be discussing it if some of the other posters hadn't trashed it so badly, and if there was a hope that anyone involved would give some answers. I reserve the right to remove trash from this board, and it has nothing to do with agenda. You know my life probably better than anyone else who posts here - I don't have one. I'm working when the rest of you are playing and sleeping, and I try always to be available for anyone who asks for help. It really hurts my feelings that you would consider me a sell-out, much less call me one on a public message board...my OWN message board, to boot. If I were a sellout, NKC and C&H Publishing would have owned The American Beagler a long time ago. It's times like this though...when my friendships are destroyed because it mingles with the business, and my judgement may not suit everyone...I feel like selling it for a nickle, closing down the board, dusting my hands, buying an aquarium full of fish, and moving into a downtown penthouse.
