Pup afraid of hunting bell

My 4 month old pup is afraid of hunting bells. I bought one for him to wear while hunting and every time I pup it on him he wont move. When he does move he runs like he is trying to get away from it. Is there any way to fix this problem? I have thought about making him wear it 24/7 for a few days. But I kinda want him to know when the bell goes on we're goin' huntin'

Make him wear it for a few days until he gets use to it and then only use it when it is time to go hunting. He will get use to it quick and then in the future he will learn to associate it with going hunting.

I have 4 Brittnays that I started using the bell. One no problem, 2 about an hour and the last had to wear one around home a few days to get use to it. The only problem is by the time the pup gets use to it you will be crazy;-) After a while the dog will look forward to the bell because it will know what's coming.
