LATE SEASON RABBIT HUNTING ON PUBLIC LAND!!
ANYONE STILL HUNTING BUNNYS ON PUBLIC LANDS THIS LATE? ME AND A COUSIN WENT TO GLENDALE TODAY AND JUMPED 7 AND KILLED 5 OF THEM. SOME GREAT RUNS. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE THERE. JWC..
What state are you hunting Jon? I'm in south Alabama and there are some folks that clean the rabbits out on public land. I can find one to run but I sure wouldn't shot it, and it is about that way all over Bama.. We hunt privite land and wait untill deer season is over then have all we want in Feb. (deer clubs)

I run them year around the old strip mine country that was not reclaimed is now infested with multi-floro-rose with all the lands that was level enough to plant now has pine planted. Makes for some great running year round. Gets hunted hard the 1st couple weeks of season when you can`t see well enough to shoot. Then the fair weather hunters stop coming out and the brush starts thinning out to where you do get A shot now and then.
Most times you have A rabbit up within 15 mins. after turnning loose. And these old woods rabbits run like grey fox.
