I'm old and I can read the all caps post just as well as any of the other posts put on here. I don't understand why folks want to tear a person down for the least little thing, which is irrelevant to the post to begin with. I see this crap all the time in many of the threads responded to on the internet BUT one thing I notice each and every time is that evidently the responder tearing one apart for caps, spelling or their opinion must have been able to read it very well! If caps is yelling, I certainly do not hear it as I read the posts but my hearing may be as bad as my eye sight now days and evidently it is as I haven't heard a single word anyone has typed on the thread! If it bothers you then move on and don't read one in all caps. It's your decision to make and I'm sure the poster will not lose any sleep over those that move on. I suspect they themselves would rather you did in lieu of poking criticism when it is obvious to others that the claim you make about the post misspelling, caps, grammar etc. were ALL issues that did not prevent you from reading it in the first place.

I'm with ken pack , this is supposed to be a place were good old boys that lovetalking beagles from all over the country get to do that.when you get on here to post, it should be about dogs, not graded like an English paper   now back to the topic I usually do 1 litter a year keep 2-3 myself to weed through sell the rest . this year I had 2 litters 2 weeks apart ,kept 2 from each litter , 4 puppies is a lot of work and time, I have done it before and was prepared for it ,but I get quite a bit of help from my 12 year old daughter when it comes to socializing with them ,lead work, and some of the basic training ,still don't think I'm going to do 4 that close in age again.

raising more than 2 litters of pup[s a year is a big chore and takes lots of time. heck I normally just raise 1 litter. this year I may raise 2 not sure yet. pups sure take a lot of time ...but they are fun to deal with most the time.

Good post Ken !!! It would be hard for me to raise a litter and care for them like they need be without the assistance
of my wonderful Dad. He's so helpful and does a great job taking care of our puppies. I would love to have part of the
patience and temperence my Dad has but I guess I just don't. So   for my hero and my Dad.

Shady grove beagles when you raise a litter and just keep one how do you decide which one its going to be? I'm afraid if I done that I'd sell all the good ones and end up with a plug. I'm planning on raising 2 litters this year!

From the time my pups are born until I let them go at 8 weeks I've spent an awful lot of time with them.I literally spend hours with them and watch what they're doing. Before they ever leave here I've got the whole litter out following me around the property. Can't tell you exactly what I'm looking for but I know it when I see it.I've yet to pick a pup out of a litter I've raised that I've been disappointed in.
When I use a stud I usually have hunted with him a bunch,am familiar with the dogs in his pedigree, have hunted with his off-spring or at the least have gotten reliable info. from houndsmen I know and trust attesting to the dog's abilities and what he's reproducing.
The females are my own and I've been line breeding them since '93 [5 generations ]. I've got a pretty good idea what I want to cross them with to get the results I want.
Others may have experienced different results but linebreeding the Blue Ninja blood has given me good results with a lot of consistancy throughout my litters. Most all my pups go to friends I hunt with or guys I know and keep in touch with so I get to keep up with the dogs I've sold.Seems that all the littermates to the one I end up keeping are all of a good quality rabbit dog.I feel that that is important to get that consistant ability throughout a litter and it's my desire not to have a "plug" in my litters. Not trying to brag but I feel that no matter what pup I pick out of a litter that in making the cross I've given it all the tools it needs to make a quality dog the day it's born. The rest is up to me.

For you guys that don't have a problem with someone typing in all capitals, good I don't have a problem that you don't have a problem. But I find it very difficult to read as do others, and I do generally skip them as some others do also, First off it is yelling , and it is rude, but if you will read my prior posts you will find that I said I don't believe that this is the intention but I think the intention is to show emphasis, but it is getting un-expected result perhaps. I do not believe it is dhoundman's intention to NOT have folks read his posts either , so in an effort to prevent consequences that I am sure he doesn't want I suggested he stop using all caps, especially when do so is at no cost to him that I can possibly think of, ( If in fact he has some kind of dis-abilty that prevents him from pressing the caps lock key to turn it off I will understand and apologize but seeing as how he can press every other key it is highly unlikely. ) I really don't care about one's grammar, or spelling and have probably said so because that is a little different story, but for one to ask one to quit doing something that is actually causing him a dis-service, is actually a service. I noticed that in some of his recent posts he has quit using the caps, making your championing of this great cause un-necessary!
