I guess I don't really understand what all the fuss is about. It is not like Bosshog says " that guest are not welcome". They just have to introduce themselves first. Bosshog I don't know about you but I am not going to let a stranger come in. A guest will usually introduce themselves. A stranger will not. It is not like Bev is not allowing a guest, she is just asking them to introduce themselves first. I agree with most of the MAJORITY that these people that want to register as guest are just people who want to be degrading and hurtful without showing face. Cowardly Bastards in my opinion. I started coming to this board just over a year or so ago because I was new to beagling. I was looking for any bit of information I could get. I guess that is what Bev has intended this site to be. Not a site where guys and gales need to worry about being bashed by some guy that just wants to be a bully. I, for one really truly appreciate this board. THANKS BEV!!!! I have learned alot from you guys that have been doing this a lot longer than I have. I enjoy chatting with some of the people and reading stuff about hunting especially when my AB magazine is running a little late. LOL

I find myself on an unexpected side on this issue.I quit posting on 2 other boards because I didnt feel the owners understood the meaning of the word forum.It seemed to me that would let controversial posts stand as long as they supported their position but were quick to censor anyone that took the opposite side.I quit posting there because I figured it was their board to do with as they like.It seems that Bev's intent here is to get rid of malicious posts rather than differing opinions.I have seen her take some real shots here and not delete the posts so I disagree with the position that she is trying to control people and limit what they have to say.Its easy to claim that she is trying to limit our freedoms but we live in a free country and our freedoms our limited every day.Sometimes they are limited simply by making the consequences of exercising those freedoms more severe that any enjoyment you get out of exercising those freedoms.If you doubt me drive 92 miles an hour past the highway patrol station at shift change and see what happens.I have done it and its not worth it
It seems like Bev is trying to make people more accountable for what they say.I just dont see the harm in that.There is having fun and there is posting ugly crap.I feel like I see where Bev is headed by requiring registration and I just dont think it is that bad a place.

I am taking my two cents worth back and change in order to voice this opinion of our distinquished GUEST/STRANGER,NY Mike.
Ok,OK!!!!!!!!!Now it has been reduced to name calling,anyone NOT using their given name in some degree is a guest or unknown person(stranger),so not properly introduced to another person makes a guest a stranger?so that would make most everyone or would make them that do not have a completed profile a stranger and in NY Mike's statement,a COWARDLY BASTARD.Being new to all this,groupies and categorizing of others,and not alowing a stranger in your home and calling anyone not properly intruduced a COWARDLY BASTARD!! So lets take a count of this thread here and see how many of those CB's are present?I don't think i would make that statement in every strangers face i happen to come in contact with,nor to all those that post on this board that chose not to use their name,but instead a handle,nor those without a completed profile when they register only using a handle with no additional info,but even those that use a proper name and a completed profile is a STRANGER to others,unless they have meet face to face,and yet many a time you can think you know a peson for years and still find out that they were actual a stranger,making them a COWARDLY BASTARD,so based upon NY Mike's own words and summation of the situation,he is calling himself a,COWARDLY BASTARD,cause he is a stranger to me,is he also a stranger,COWARDLY BASTARD, to anyone else on this thread or message board?Sorry,but in some way i felt very offened due to the fact my handle,name, was used in NY Mike's post and sense i am a STRANGER to him and others,he made it very plain how he felt about strangers,and i have a mother and a father,i may be a coward in some things,but i usually over come any fear of those that prefer name calling,simply cause they don't know me.

.Bosshog I am not calling names.... I am simply stating that anyone who hides behind a name (guest)to cause hurt or to belittle someone they are a cowardly bastard. That is where I pass MY judgement. To pass judgement on a person whom I don't personally know would and should make me the cowardly bastard. And no Bosshog i don't think that you are a cowardly bastard. You are not hiding behind some unknown and you are just expressing an opinion. Besides you have introduced yourself to us all. 
I just think you are reading into things more than what it is. Furthermore for someone to register as a handle is perfectly acceptable and not what I was implying. People use handles all the time in other things than beagling. Truckers always use them , sports players use them. We call our kids by "handles" that doesn't make them cowardly. I am simply talking about the person that doesn't have enough courage to say what they want to say and stand behind it. I personally am a man of my word. If I say something I will stand behind it. I also want to state that you are entitled to an opinion , so am I. I am truly sorry if my opinion of a coward offends you but I am entitled to an opinion. Please don't take things so literally all the time. If I say I am going to kill someone, that doesn't mean I am going to do it. It simply means if the shoe fits, wear it. Bosshog no hard feelings!! I also remember you telling me something about not taking things to heart and something about some shine you were gonna share with me.

Iwent to work one day installed about 300 feet of wood fence and got home, had A nice dinner with my wife and son went down and took care of my dogs. I went back to the house and watch some TV. I went to bed ,told my wife and son I love you.I got up to go to work and my sight was mess up,so I got my wife up and went to the doctors. Doctor look at me and said gene you have had a STROKE. We need to get along and stop all this mickey mouse crap balieve me life is short for that. Can't drive anymore but love to hear a good rabbit chase and I like this board very much and say thanks BEV.

NYHillbilly used to sign on as guest but he always identified himself. He gave everything but his social security number at the end of his posts. J. Murphy pretty well explained the reason for the registered membership move. It was to cut down on the incidence of malicious or vulgar posts. I can't believe how "put out" some of you are over this, lol.
